Hello from Florida!
Hope you are doing well and enjoying the last of summer wherever you are.
This adventure started HERE if you wish to read more. This is a compilation of pictures taken over the last few days at the resort. The weather was nice and it was great to just chill and kick back.

Tower, we stayed on the pier.

Room was large and very clean.

Um, yes; there was a large flat screen TV, but since we didn't even bother to turn it on I didn't take a picture. I was more excited about the iPhone docking system and the FREE wifi. #nerd

Whats behind the doors? Do we have a patio? Or a shoe closet?

Bell hop was nice enough to explain ship does not come with the room. Still its a nice place to sit for tea and surfing.

I went for a early morning walk along the pier one morning. I love the changing colors of the sky at that time and its so peaceful.

My blog has been rather boring the last 6 months, it was work, eat and sleep. And very few action shots of those things, then I fell ill and it was just plain depressing. #FML :(

Anyway, Thank you to (both) the faithful readers who have stuck it out waiting FOR SOMETHING to HAPPEN...Today I flew out of Austin, Texas to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Its not cheap, but its there if you look. The American "free breakfast" at most hotel is appalling, so this really cheered me up.

This is a mixture of photos taken with Casio camera, iPad and iPhone. I bet you can tell which is which, right?

There was a mix up with our taxi so we ended up at the airport earlier than we had to be. But it all worked out as there weren't too many folks flying out yet. The Taxi driver was very talkative and mentioned that he really liked my accent. I was rather bewildered, as he had what I thought was the same accent? But, showing good southern manners I said, "Thanks." He then asked where in the UK I was from?

He laughed his ass off when I said I'm from South Texas. I think spending so much time in other countries has given me an odd accent or it would seem I just woke up British today. #WTF?

I must say I really liked Jet Blue. The price wasn't bad for a one way ticket and the did offer free snack and beverages. #More than I expected.

Cramped, but it was a short, cheap flight. The crew was excellent so I'm not going to bitch. AT. ALL.

There were storms in the gulf, so we were re-routed over land. And were flying lower for awhile, then we got above the clouds.

It Begins

Hey,
How are things? This was my last day at home and man was I busy! And for the 1st time in 3 months it actually began to rain! Angelica was kind enough to take us to Austin, Texas where we checked into a hotel for a early morning flight the following day.

No actual Austin shots as I was busy navigating. My iPhone died in the middle of this adventure too, but luckily I had an idea of where the hotel was located and we found it pretty easy.

We ordered take out Chinese for supper.

I just love Austin. The Chinese food was delivered by a Russian man, who also included Tortillas in the order! As Angelica said, "Think of it as a parting gift from Texas!" And yes, we made tacos out of the rice and veggies.

Life Lately

Hello,
How are things? Hope you are well. I've been better, but I've been worse too. Lately I have spent a lot of time at Doctors and Dentists offices. Not too much fun...

Today I took a stroll around and enjoyed the few flowers than can make it in the blazing Texas heat. I also had another Dr's appointment.

I was 1st appointment of day and thankfully was there alone.

After a full exam I was given a Good report! Hurray!
I am cleared to travel!
I quickly went home to start packing...

Actually, to continue packing.

As soon as I left Dr. I texted Aud to let her know my status, (she is my hotel ride) and now she is ill! She developed a fever and was throwing up this afternoon. OMG! So I'm guessing we will ride with Angelica instead. This is already becoming SOME TRIP and we haven't even left town yet...IDK

Hello,
How are things? Hope you are having a Fab weekend. I was told to stay in bed and rest this weekend, & I'm just about to go crazy. I watched all movies, surfed, read and I've even done back ups of my back ups in a effort to stay in bed an rest. I like to nap as much as the next person, but I have THINGS I GOTTA DO!

Cozumel Sand

Hi All,
Hope everyone is well. Today Aud came up from the coast and spent the day with me. We visited, ate tacos and talked about everything under the sun. She just returned from a relaxing, week long cruise to Mexico. (Yeah!!)
She left from Texas (See map below) and went to several ports in Mexico, including Cozumel. She said they had a most WONDERFUL time and she is ready to go back again, soon. I think this is her 3rd time on this route. I have done this route once myself. (Click here to read about some of the adventure) It's 5 fun days and super easy for us because we are close enough to drive to the cruise terminal/port. #WinWin

She was kind enough to bring me back this beach towel, sand and goodies!

I picked up tacos before she arrived, see my "action shot" again stuck in line at the Taco Hut.

But the tacos were good, so it was worth it. I ran a few errands and then headed home to meet her. I haven't seen her in a month or so, as we have all been so busy lately. And she is planning her next trip already. She suffers from #wanderlust too, lol. I was trying to convince her to start a blog or a video channel. She goes everywhere, all the time + she has such a wicked sense of humor. We spend so much time laughing, I know she would be very interesting to follow, (unlike me who is boring most of the time.) *Sounds of crickets*

OH! And Aud told me she bought a good size, lime colored sugar skull while in Mexico. I doubt I will get to her house before I leave, but if she sends a picture I will blog it. She said it was super cool. She shares my love of spooky. :D

And while I was out today I saw this odd store arraignment. Don't get me wrong, I like Halloween as much if NOT MORE than the next girl, but...It just looks so wrong with
1. Angels and Jack'o lanterns and
2. It's 102'F and still August people!
IDK... But they do it every year, someone already brought Halloween candy to the office.

Crazy~

After being blinded by that crazy display I looked up and the sun was blindingly bright this morning.

These pictures aren't edited, I just thought it looked cool with the clouds dancing around the fireball of a sun. I admit we don't see the clouds very often here. Just wait till I'm back in France, and I daily spam you with cloud and wine pictures, lol.

I think I'm gonna pack the towel she gave me on this next trip. It should be great for sitting on the beach in Barcelona! Ok gotta run, take care &

Hey! How are you?

I have just returned from the dentist so don't even get me STARTED. But rather than talk about that (not) fun experience I thought I'd share with you the loot I just ordered from Sephora.

I confess I ordered because its my birthday and I wanted the free gift. There, I admitted it. They have been SUPER in the past and I was looking forward to receiving one again this year.

So pour yourself some tea and lets see what I ended up with this time.

This year I really didn't NEED anything (or so I thought) until I started looking at the Sephora website. I also did not LET myself purchase any more nail polish, as I have way, way too many bottles. And I wasn't feeling well when I placed the order, so I wasn't at all sure what I ended up selecting. I did remb that I tried to be both practical and thrifty in my purchases this time and not just go WILD.

Do you do that too? Collect make up and beauty items? I'm not as bad as some women (Because I actually collect shoes, lol) but I have quite a few lovely, little things packed away in boxes that need to be used soon.

Balance

How are things?

We made the weekend! WHOO HOO! Finally chance to sleep in and I'm up at the crack of dawn, Idk...
I spent most of this week working on the trip, finishing projects at work and looking for balance. Work and Rest, Home and Office, Shopping and Saving.
You get the idea.

Thank goodness for causal Fridays and the balance they bring. That and I need to do laundry, lol

Veggie Delight

Rick and I finished off Friday evening with take out and Robin Williams movies. I had forgotten how wonderful "Good Morning Vietnam" was. If you get a chance give it a watch. The world was made such a brighter place by his comedy. In talking with other people about his passing, everyone agrees, it feels like we lost a friend. So sad...

OK, on to happier topics....
I allowed myself to do a bit of online shopping the last few days I was confined at home. It is arriving now. Perhaps I bought a bit more than I realized?

Loot!

I Ended up with 3 pairs of jeans, make up, gloves and a few odd and ends. All justified purchases for the trip.

Sorta, its not like there are stores in Paris, right?

This morning i skipped Yoga and ran errands instead. I finished the morning off with a taco run and remembered why I usually order in.

And before you leave a snarky comment Yes, I still look ill. But I had to get back to work and life. I return to Dr Monday, thanks for the concern.

After a lengthy wait finally taco goodness was achieved!
I will miss the tacos almost as much as my friends (opps, I didn't really say that!) But eating fresh, warm croissants for breakfast is a wonderful thing too.
