How are things? I hope all is well in your world. I am settling into the slower pace of life in France and very much enjoying the cooler weather of Autumn. France is one of my favorite places, (in all of the world), but it's been 3 years since my last visit. Work, life, money, etc they all seem to get in the way don't they? Well I knew that I wanted a change and began planning for this in 2012. This round I am staying as long as I can, well err I kinda moved here. I am very fortunate to have the ability to work online. My business in the states is holding its own right now and I am so so lucky to have wonderful people working with me. Now back to life in France... I love Paris, but it is so expensive! I am currently in the south west. Its pretty farm land, with old villages, castles and vineyards dotting the mostly unspoiled hills. Have a look at how clear the water is. As I said it's autumn here, so not too much is blooming, but on the other hand its not THAT cold either. The weather is really perfect! I have found 3 local bakeries, so far. The weather has mostly been sunny. I have odd hours holding Skype meetings in the states, but get out as often as I can. The people here are so nice and there is very little to no crime in this area. So its quite safe to explore alone. This week the clouds have rolled in and brought rain so I mostly explored a tea cup and my new books, lol Have a great weekend where ever you are!

Hello- how are things? This picture heavy post is about the Central Park neighborhood on the Oasis of the Sea cruise ship. Yes, I said a Park on a cruise ship! We sailed transatlantic (click here for more info) September 2014. We made the crossing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida (click here) and sailed to Barcelona, Spain. Yes, more posts here and here. We were on the ship 13 days, so there are about a million pictures. This is a bit blurry, but I wanted to show the scale of the green space. AND the SIZE OF THE TREES! This is the biggest cruise ship sailing right now. I understand that the newest XXL is about to take off any day. I cannot imagine how incredible it must be? Because this one was damn AMAZING! This ship holds 6,000 + passengers and features so, so many balconies. We were in a balcony over looking the Boardwalk (read about it here) next time I think I will try for a spot in this neighborhood. There were so many pretty plants! From succulents to vines, to grasses and trees. You really do forget you are on a ship, sitting under the trees. This neighborhood also has a number of restaurants (most are free) and shops. There are lots of little details that really make this park area nice. People sit around this area and visit, read and of course eat. I was here everyday. I will not post ALL of my pictures but you get the idea. It was also very, very clean. Makes you want to just sit and enjoy the warm weather. This is the middle of the ship, I believe? To be honest its so big you really need a map. Walls and walls of greenery. All of this is REAL, not plastic fake plants. I think everyone was still at breakfast when I took this. This was one of my favorite places to sit. This is just outside the "Rising Tide" bar. Why sit outside the bar? Well its a bar that slowly rises up through the middle of the ship. (I could not imagine being drunk on it?! WTF?!) or what would happen if you had to get off to go to bathroom? Most of the times that I saw it "dock" no one got off, more people just get on and on... IDK? The waiting area for the bar has plenty of seating and the area was full of the prettiest plants. I didn't feel like I was taking a cafe's spot so we sat there and watched people walk by and of course the bar go up and down. #CheapThrill but it was cool.. Now back to the park. I'm so hungry now just thinking about the cruise and all the delicious food! The weather was IDEAL! The sea was calm as glass and we had a smooth crossing. I wore sun dresses, sandals and shorts the whole time. #Heaven This was such a nice trip! I really enjoyed the ship, the food and there was so much to do. If you get a chance to cruise on this ship DO IT! You will not be sorry. This was our 2nd cruise with Royal and I can't wait to sail with them again.
Catch you later- Hi All, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I worked and had Skype meetings through out most of it, but thats alright. I'm thankful the business is going strong and allowing me the opportunity to travel a bit. It's still warm in the south of France. Next week we are planning an outing to the beach. But today the mountains are calling me. Wanting me to go for a hike and spend the day exploring. I'm sure they have many secrets to share. I think I might be better off staying in my own garden.
The trees look like they might need my company today and my tea kettle is whistling in the kitchen. Hope you have a great Sunday, wherever in the world you are and whatever you decide to do today. Hey! How are things? Hope all is well in your world. Busy here trying to find my way back into the work groove. :( As you may remember, if you read here much, my son and I left Texas, USA late August and are once again living in the south of France. When people ask me how the flight was, I tell them we sailed over. Usually their eyes get REALLY, REALLY big and I can see they are imagining what the trip must have been like. Or did she mean?? No, No, No. Transatlantic sailing is the ONLY way to make the crossing. The cruise ships are spectacular! They offer comfortable rooms, broadway style shows, fine dinning, deluxe spa pampering and plenty of stuff to do, no matter what your tastes are. Or you can always just lay around on the deck and chill by the pool if you don't care to do anything. Really, did I mention the food? There was something for everyone. From pizza and burgers to sweets and seafood. I made out fine eating mostly healthy food. Lots of fresh fruits, raw salads and the occasional cookie here and there. #ImNotGoingToLie I will do a complete post of the green area of the ship, "Central Park" soon. It actually was my favorite area. I liked to sit under the trees and read or eat (yes, more eating) and people watch. I did already post about another neighborhood on board, The Boardwalk, click to read that picture heavy post. Have a great weekend!
