Ready, Set, Jet!

You know I miss them all so much. My dear family from France and all the wonderful people I met this last round in England. I never expected to be so "homesick" for them all.
I miss the people more than anything. But I do long to see the sunlight in France again, and feel the way the grass was mossy yet bouncing under my feet in my backyard in England. I yearn for the colorful flower beds, bursting with a riot of impossible color and the food, fresh from the French bakery, affordable and oh so delicious! I miss the sparkling clear water of the lakes, especially with the sun dancing across the surface. The water so still and calm, reflecting golden light back at me as I sat for hours and observed the never ending parade of fish go by, no doubt on important fish business and the ducks that spend all day gliding around, ducklings following. I miss seeing all the many English birds that have "tit" in their names, and of course the ever present English sheep. Also all the many shades of "greens" and the Fells, the constant fluffy clouds, loud contagious laughter of happy children, lazy Saturday afternoons surrounded by plants in the conservatory, investigating the quaint old shops in small out of the way villages, quirky neighbors and learning the true meaning of "tea". #FML I shall see you all again very soon, I think. People often ask me about Fashion trends and clothing when I travel. To be honest it can be difficult, especially when you are covering several different countries, locations and venues. What I wear in London I don't usually wear in the Pyrenees. What I wear in Monaco I don't wear in Inverness. I like cities and I also like to be in nature so I have to pack accordingly and have a plan. I also dislike lugging too many oversized bags. The best thing is always pack light and purchase what you need while on the road. This makes sure your gown matches the event in style (or at least in theory.) Last Holiday season I was invited to the Opera in London. The first thing I did was google what women wear to the opera in London. Then began to assemble a wearable outfit. (Always take one GREAT Pair of comfortable High Heels with you when you travel, if you want to be on point.) And as you know I always bring along too many shoes. #MyWeakness I like to blend in and not look like tourist so I also google places in advance. There are many places I wish to visit, and knowing what to wear in advance is a big help. The worst is to show up at an event and being OVER DRESSED or UNDRESSED. #FML But for the rest of this month I'm in Texas and enjoying comfy clothes and messy hair. #Score! See you at the airport-
#Msoneworld4me #Fashion #Random #Life Under 30 days of Halloween fun left for 2015! Oh NO~ :x We take Halloween seriously here in Texas. The party supplies are jumping (slithering?) off the shelves and people are decorating their yards, offices and homes. Some of the decorations I have seen are really, really clever. Some are just frighteningly cute, so there is something for everyone. Here are a few things I spotted on my last adventure into town. I will be going to a few parties this weekend and hope to take pictures of the cute and scary Halloween decorations. What are you going to dress up as? I'm still undecided.
See you at the Airport~ Need a date night idea? In 2013 I went on a date and we ended up at the Pumpkin Patch - Read about it here -if you want to see how my date went, and see the cute pumpkins.
BTW - I was a much harder working blogger then, I edited, framed, watermarked and added cute Line stickers to the post. #FML what happened? Now is all I can do to post a blurry picture - Sorry/NotSorry. See you at the airport or the pumpkin patch! . Meanwhile in South Texas... I am back on my #CleanEating plan and feeling so, so much better! I am fortunate here, to be surrounded by so much delicious & healthy produce! The prices aren't too bad, compared to the English prices I paid this summer. #Truth But other things are more expensive here. So it's a trade off. Today I just bought veggies and no household stuff. Here is what I ended up: 1 "personal" #WTF? Watermelon that is not pictured. I forgot to snap a pix of it, its cute, though trust me. Mushrooms, Raspberries, tomatoes, bananas, coconut flakes, cashews, cauliflower, lemons, almond milk, kiwi, green leaf lettuce and dates. I bought a lot more veggies, attempting to eat better and because I was starving. This healthy detox cleanse is working, but I am SO hungry. Oh wait I also bought organic carrots and yellow squash. See? It's a BIG BAG. It's a recycled chicken feed bag that has been cleaned and sown into a heavy duty shopping bag. I really like it, because it doesn't feel like it is going to rip when I use it. I have a tendency to over pack the groceries and have ripped so many bags... For my son I also bought Vegan Cheese, Oreo Cookies (do not Judge me!) and 10lbs of cat food. (Not for my son, but for Mystic.) Please say hello Mystic... We are trying this out next. #Organic toothpaste! My son does not like mint (anything) and we wanted a more "healthy/green" alternative. There will be a review up this week (hopefully).
So whats in your shopping bag? I'd love to see. Thank goodness most of what I bought is still in season and therefore more affordable. I'm off to make a tasty raw dinner for the family and then back to planning my next trip. See you at the airport!
