Hello there, How are you? I'm so glad you stopped by. I'm up late/early working on new videos and book reviews. I have so many ideas and possible directions for those hours and hours of footage I shot in September. What would you like to see? More nature and less talking or more of vlog type posts? Or something totally different? Let me know below. Tonight I plan on putting all these new ideas on paper. Do you have periods where you are super creative and other times when you can't think of a single thing to do? I've noticed I'm usually awake (and creating) more around the full moon. It feels like a big blast of creative energy flowing in and I want to take full advantage of this inspiration. So I stay up way too late and write, paint, edit and make lists. I also tend to try new recipes and cook more. I'm not motivated to do admin work or anything overly analytical during these few days each month. Sadly even journaling falls by the wayside unless its project related. Usually I have more of an issue around finding enough hours in the day to create, vs me looking for inspiration, but lately with us being away from home I haven't felt all that inspired. So I'm going to make another pot of tea and keep at it. It feels so good to be back in the flow!
Have a great weekend and be sure and subscribe to the YouTube channel for all the new adventures~ I'm counting the days down to vacation and spending as much time as I can outside. I took these picture this week with my iPhone 12 Pro Max and must say it hasn't disappointed. I'm so ready to go on vacation and see how it does on random nature shots. We were supposed to be in Greece this month, but between covid and the wildfires it wasn't meant to be. BUT there are many other places on my travel list that I can't wait to explore. And I do truly believe nature is cheaper than therapy! What do you think? Pretty decent pictures for a iPhone.
Speak soon~ Hi,
It's me, celebrating the completion of another book! 🎉📚 As I type this, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and I can't help but feel a wave of relief and accomplishment. The book has been out for a month now and is doing pretty well. I still can't believe its done and on the shelf! It's always a mix of emotions, the writing, editing, rewriting and then it all coming to an end. There is always so much more I want to include, but books shouldn't be heavier than airplanes so we have to stop somewhere; and it's always bittersweet to submit the last draft. But now I've had a bit of a break and am about to fully regain control of my schedule. Ah, the sweet promise of a good night's sleep! #Goals I can finally catch up on some much-needed rest and dive into fun summer activities too! A new hammock, a stack of fresh novels, and an ice tea within arm's reach. The perfect recipe for a lazy summer afternoon, wouldn't you say? Wishing you happy summer days! 🌞 Cheers-
It’s 2021 and everyone is looking for self-care routines or really anything that will keep us sane. Sometime I to feel like I’m going stir crazy during the continuing lockdown, but daily writing has really helped me. Even if you don’t count yourself as a writer one easy and affordable habit that anyone can try is journaling. When you journal you write only for yourself, no one else is intended to read your thoughts and this allows you the freedom to express what is truly on your mind
I have always been a writer. Even as a child I used to journal daily events, write stories, note good (and bad) events that happened. Now I do all that plus track my health, fitness routine, and track my money via journals. I also used to create travel journals to document my travel adventures, which now seem to be almost a dream. *Sigh*
It seems like we are never going to be able to take those big trips, but now is the perfect time to plan a dream vacation. Journal what your ultimate dream trip would be and spend some time each day researching it. You might be surprised to see how affordable traveling can be. (Especially if you plan ahead and book for 2022!) Journal the route you want to take, the places you want to visit, food you want to sample and anything else you want to include on this trip
If journaling about future trips doesn’t seem helpful, try writing down a daily goal or journal your problems. You may see a pattern, or that you are actually making more progress than you realize. You may also learn that you are battling a larger problem, causing daily stress. (Such as a bad roommate situation, money issues or relationship problems that are making everything else more stressful than it should be.) This could be the root of your stress or overwhelm. Having more information will help you come up with a better plan or strategy for addressing the problem.
I recently bought these extra journals to give as gifts.
I love the fact there is a journal for every taste on Amazon. Most as sold by small, independent publishers like these.
No matter what you journal, just taking the time to put your thoughts on paper can help you clear your mind and release some stress.
Why not try journaling today? Speak soon~ Good Morning Travel Fam!
How are things? I'm making plans & getting things done on the beautiful Saturday morning! I don’t know about you, but I love to plan and prepare—as we wrap up 2020, I can’t help but start thinking and preparing for all the things 2021 will bring! Cheers to another amazing year! Hello! Can you believe it's August already? On the one hand this has been the longest year EVER! And on the other, summer just slipped by us. IDK... So much has happened this week, and I've only just now had a bit of a breather to catch up and blog. If you are not part of my community here, then welcome! I'm glad you are here! Leave me a comment and let's get to know each other - On this site I blog about life, review books and products, post a few easy, vegan recipes and share my passion for art and traveling. This is actually a travel blog, but with all that has happened this year my travel has been VERY limited. But we can still plan for future adventures and dream boldly! What's on your current travel bucket list? I'm ready to see some new places and revisit some old favorites... And while we are dreaming and planning these new adventures we can make art every day. I invite you this month to try different types of art projects. Think outside the box and expand your techniques, open yourself up to creating. This is a month to step outside the box and open our hearts to love and new experiences.
This is a month to dream boldly. Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a restful one. I am currently chilling in Roswell after a very hectic week. Its been a gorgeous couple of days here. It was very warm 101' - Thats 38.33 Celsius #Yikes!! But there is no humidity so it wasn't as bad as it sounds. This was actually a work trip, with just a brief stay in Roswell. But after being in the house for the last few months we were glad to get out and walk around. We even managed a 'walk about' before supper. (Great food was had and we wolfed it down, sorry no pictures!) But I do have snaps of the drive to Roswell. If you want to learn more about Roswell read this. Roswell UFO STORY On the drive over we saw a few murals, the BIG wind farm and a few other things in the desert. I started the post here if you want to start at the beginning. |
