Ready, Set, Jet!

![]() Hurricane Patricia was so large that rain bands crossed over Mexico and sent storms into the Gulf of Mexico and Texas. There was flooding, then a week or so of hot, dry weather and now more storms. Glad the rains have stopped for awhile, at least for a few days, as more are predicted. As you can guess it's still very warm here. I went to a dinner with friends a few days ago and here are the pictures I took along the way. We took a nice drive in the country and were astonished to see how high the river was cresting, still. ![]() “Being soaked alone is cold. Being soaked with your best friend is an adventure.” ― Emily Wing Smith and Yes, I have been having adventures. It seems like my oldest and dearest friends are showing up in Texas now. Must be the rain. But at least all the rain is making everything green again. Lol The grass here had been dry, dead and crispy until these storms. A BIG difference from the lush north western English country side I just came from. Yes, I'm still whining about England and missing it terribly. I do apologize. I had no idea my window was that streaked! (See below.) After a long, lazy dinner I drove back home to continue my obsession with planning my next adventure. There are so so many good travel specials right now. I can't decide where to go first!
