So I was about to drive 45 miles to see a friend and thought I had better check my oil. It was was early morning and I admit to not being fully awake, but I woke up quickly! That's an Opossum under my hood. It was as surprised as I was at the intrusion!

The day was getting warmer and warmer. Opossums, just like me, are not fans of the sun.

I considered just going to buy a new truck...

But I was able to get the critter out safely. I used a water hose (which just made it growl more) and then went inside and let it climb down on its own.
