en route

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope your  week  is going well.
I just made it back from a little stay-cation/break/ road trip into the Texas hill country. 

It was a nice, much needed break and I didn't really want to return, yet (Maybe at all.) We did a little shopping and caught up with some old friends, but mostly just chilled.

So this was how the last mornings adventures went: 

Goodbye....

 I packed up the truck, AND I SWEAR WE DO NOT TAKE THIS MUCH FOR A 6 MONTHS EUROPE ADVENTURE! WTF?? Where does all this stuff come from??

Then after 100 trips back in forth in the cold and crazy wind, finally finished loading the truck. Grabbed a quick coffee and turned in the room key.  And tried to leave..
Yes, I said "Tried" 

Truck would NOT START! WTF??!

OMG! It's a sign we should stay a few more days??!?!?!...LOL nope. I popped hood and everything LOOKED ok, I didn't see anything loose or burnt or smell anything funny. Then I jiggled the battery connectors and they seemed ok. Hmmmm? (Like I even know what I'm doing? #FakeIt)  I asked the next person I saw for a jump (not thinking it would help, but figured I should start somewhere. BTW I do carry jumper cables with me. My dad made sure that I always did. Bless him.) and the  motor started right up! The Angels sang and It was awesome! Mostly because I was thinking about being stranded until someone could come get me and the expense of towing, etc etc etc :(

I think it had just been so cold (below freezing the last couple of nights) that even though I was driving around every day it wasn't enough to hold the charge. Maybe? (Cross fingers that all it was.) The battery is less than 2 years old so I dunno...
But the main thing...we were back on the road again!

Next stop home.

Drive & Drive and don't stop. Had no problems at all driving back. But I also didn't stop for lunch or anything. #FML  After we unloaded the  truck, I checked to see if it would start again. It did! Success! Next trip to the PO.

Pick up my mail.

So it went from a rather gloomy day to awesome! More than just bills waiting for me.

And one was even the Nov Vegan Cuts box! Yeah!

It seemed really jam backed this month.

These are so good!

My truck is running fine now. Starting right up. (yeah). I plan on putting it in the shop for a check up next week after the holidays.

And I'm back at work..fun, fun, and more fun. #Sarcasm 

The last of next months trip planning is finished whoo hooo! Next I go to work on the European adventure in 2014. I  must finish asap & get the deposits down before all the good gites are gone. :(   Any cool places you know of? Or suggestions you have? I love stuff off the tourist path.
