Goodbye Austin

My blog has been rather boring the last 6 months, it was work, eat and sleep. And very few action shots of those things, then I fell ill and it was just plain depressing. #FML :(

Anyway, Thank you to (both) the faithful readers who have stuck it out waiting FOR SOMETHING to HAPPEN...Today I flew out of Austin, Texas to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Its not cheap, but its there if you look. The American "free breakfast" at most hotel is appalling, so this really cheered me up.

There was a mix up with our taxi so we ended up at the airport earlier than we had to be. But it all worked out as there weren't too many folks flying out yet. The Taxi driver was very talkative and mentioned that he really liked my accent. I was rather bewildered, as he had what I thought was the same accent? But, showing good southern manners I said, "Thanks." He then asked where in the UK I was from?

He laughed his ass off when I said I'm from South Texas. I think spending so much time in other countries has given me an odd accent or it would seem I just woke up British today. #WTF?

I must say I really liked Jet Blue. The price wasn't bad for a one way ticket and the did offer free snack and beverages. #More than I expected.

Cramped, but it was a short, cheap flight. The crew was excellent so I'm not going to bitch. AT. ALL.

There were storms in the gulf, so we were re-routed over land. And were flying lower for awhile, then we got above the clouds.

I love the way the sky looks!
