New Year's Eve

Happy Almost New Year!
Do you have BIG PARTY Plans? I sure do..

I'm going to spend the afternoon/night on the telephone with my husband who is ill with a nasty cold in another country. I plan on a fun filled night of crying and listening to him blowing his nose. #GoodTimes #PARTYDOWN #LifeOnTheEdge 

But all joking aside, in America we usually ring in the New Year with family and friends in low key private parties. A few people travel to big over-priced events, or spend the evening in Poker games, at dances or clubbing, but most of us just snuggle in and spend it with friends, rich food and too much booze. 

The following day is all about snoozing and watching TV marathons or calling your friends you didn't see at the party and listening to them cry. Exciting as Hell, isn't it?

Don't get me wrong, there are fireworks and big parties, too. But as one of friends likes to say, "It's a night of amateur drunk drivers." so even though some cab companies offer free rides, lots of people are involved in accidents. Smart people book hotel packages or just sleep over for the weekend (read pass out) at house parties.
