Picnic Time

Hello World,
How's Spring going for you? The weather is SUPER nice here, so in taking full advantage of that Vanessa, Angelica and I went on a picnic last Monday. We went to a small park in San Marcos, Texas.



The park had picnic tables, but we just put down towels & blankets  and lazed on the grass. It was so nice to be outside and not stuck in another awful meeting. That sounds so bad, I love my job. I just don't love so many meetings. But back to the nature pictures...

Although it's in the middle of town very few people come here, so we mostly had the place to ourselves.

Vanessa brought her dog and he walked right off the sidewalk into that dark water! We freaked out, but he was fine. He swam and she was able to pull him out safely. #MuchDrama 

Guess who got a bath?

This part of the river is much nicer.

We all brought plenty of food and chilled. We ate, laid in the sun and laughed most of the afternoon. #BestMonday of the year!

It really was a nice break. We have all been working too hard lately.

Vanessa said she heard that the city built this retaining wall because high school kids would come down there to party and get "dazed" and fall/slide off the bank into the water. Seems like that would sober you up quickly.

The water is still to cold to go tubbing.

Parts of the the San Marcos River are very clear.

We had perfect weather.

As the day went on a troop of boy scouts went by in kayaks and people came to fish, so we packed up and went on home.

It was a really nice, relaxing  day. I love spending time outside and with good friends. 

What do you do to celebrate Spring? I'm going hiking this weekend and then off for another adventure before work Tuesday.  Be on the look out for more blurry instagram pictures, lol
