Quick Book Review - Wednesday Edition

Morning Non-Traveling buddies,
I feel like soon (maybe) we will be traveling again and the anticipation is soooooo bad! I don't know about you, but I'm so ready to go adventuring!

But until we can jet, let's talk books. Today I am reviewing Gifts from the Mountain: Simple Truths for Life's Complexities by Eileen McDargh and illustrated by Roderick MacIver.

I read this book last year and started the review but somehow the file was lost on my Mac. Does anyone else ever have that? One minute a document is there and then the next POOF! It's gone? So when it reappeared today I took it as a 'sign' that I should take a break from work long enough to finish this and put something new on the blog. Die-hard readers have been messaging me, trust me I'm still alive, just insanely busy! (I promise more new posts soon.) Now back to the book...

My Last Minute Thoughts:

1. Each short chapter beings with a beautiful illustration by Roderick McIver and a quote from the author. 
2. This deceptively simple book has zen-like wisdom and inspiration that is easy to understand and refreshing.
3. In trying times we need upbeat wisdom in small, easy-to-digest dosages and this book fits the bill. 
4. This book would also make a nice gift right now.
