Random Acts...

Earlier a friend asked me if I could pick up his daughter from her job at our local Subway. I said sure.

As I fetched her home she related this story to me:

She was working when an older man (she is 20 so use your imagination) came in and said that he just drove 20 miles for 2 Subway sandwiches. (This is rural Texas so that's not that odd) He asked her how she liked working at Subway, as she made his order. She told him honestly that she was just there to pay for college. They discussed education and he agreed that it was the most important thing. He then asked her how much her next tuition payment was and she said, "$250." He paid for his sandwiches and said, "I'll be right back." Then left the store.

The man then returned with a check for $250.USD and handed it to her. 
He was Giving her the next tuition payment! He only asked that she send him a thank you note with a copy of the receipt showing she had made the payment.

She was speechless! She remembered herself and thanked him as he left. :0

So nice things do happen everyday, don't they?! I just love stories like this of random acts of kindness. I asked her if she recognized the name on the check *still in her hand and she said," No, he's from the next town over."
