Surprise Birthday Party for Adults

1st let me just say, "No. Don’t even."
 2nd "ok." sigh  But only because I was asked to help host one for a dear friend. 
SO I SHALL.
But I am a Leo. (Which means) I think BIG! And I like Shiny, Glittery, and Over the Top Things. I am the "GO TO GAL" of that sort of thing. A BBQ in the backyard, huh? Me? No. Spa Retreat? YES! Party in Paris? Yes, Cruise? Why yes. I’ll take two! 


Here is a list of ideas that I put together for this event. Maybe you can use some of these ideas for your friends. :D

A Destination Birthday

We all have been invited to (or do it ourselves) the destination wedding. Always Fun! Why not do the same for an adult birthday?

Las Vegas – You would not believe how many “little shits” turn 21 in Sin City! I know because they are always in the elevators with me, explaining it’s their birthday…


Anyway..The Room Prices are so CHEAP Right now. Why not go??

Spa Retreat- you and the girls (and the guys) check in close to home or far away for a weekend of pampering! Who wouldn’t love that??

Resort-Call those resorts that offer wedding packages and see what they can do for you as a birthday package. Most properties are more than willing to work with you. Make memories!

Cruise-My favorite! It can be very affordable. They offer both short get aways or a longer awesome trips. This also allows you to plan well in advance.  A small deposit holds the cruise allowing time to pay off the trip. There is more than enough to do on the ship for everyone from Spa to Casino. 


Always a safe bet for a party, wedding or family event.

Local Bed & Breakfast-Call and discuss your plan & budget. Most are ready to work with you. I planned a wedding shower once like this. We had tea in an old Victoria house and opened the presents. It was affordable and we didn’t have to do those rather tacky decorations.


And

·      Always ask for the package deals!

·      Decide your budget first and be realistic.

·      Delegate as much as you can to the staff at your venue. Its what they do and your paying for it anyway.
