Hello, How goes it? October is almost over (insert scream here!) And while it almost feels sacrilegious to even think about Christmas, I am planning out my seasonal shopping and travel this week. I’ve already begun a gift list, started shopping & now its time to decide if we head to the snow or the tropics for the break. In my defense, because I know you’re all reading this post in absolute horror right now, it all started with trying to plan a holiday get away. I know, I should already have the shit locked down. To make it even worse, I have friends planning their 2020 holidays, asking me to rsvp to galas and crap, (damn overachievers!) Meanwhile I'm having trouble planning/committing to dinner tonight. Work has been good lately, but its left me too busy to even leaf through the many vacation advertisements I receive. So lets get planning now, because better late than never. According to CNN (As of last November) the 15 the best places to have a Christmas break are:
11. Salzburg, Austria - Love Austria and never get to spend enough time there. 12. Santa Claus, Indiana - How is it I've never been? 13. Strasbourg, France - Okay, we all know I will pick France. 14. Queenstown, New Zealand - On my list to visit soon. 15. Valkenburg, The Netherlands - Love the Netherlands, so a holiday visit would be cool. What do you think? What is your favorite holiday destination? Are you escaping the cold for a tropical vacation? I enjoy that myself - some years we have gone sailing to the tropics and others we have searched out the Christmas markets in Europe. Still not sure what direction we will go. I'd love to hear your suggestions Then a again, we may stay closer to home this year...
Kayak has just released their top trending ski destinations for 2018. You better get booking if you want a spot for the holiday season.
Top Trending Ski Destinations Banff, Canada (29% increase in searches) Quebec City, Canada (28%) Taos, New Mexico (27%) Big Sky, Montana (26%) Stowe, Vermont (21%) Jay, Vermont (17%) Mont-Tremblant, Canada (11%) Mammoth Lakes, California (4%) North Conway, New Hampshire (3%) Breckenridge, Colorado (3%) See you on the slopes! This is a Fab Fit Fun Update See original post here. After I had problems with my 1st box I went to the site and talked to CS, on the 11th. In the process I saw so, so, so many horrible reviews! Mostly about customers service (OMG) and ship time/response time. And also the reviews read like if you are in Canada you are screwed. (Sorry friends in Canada) I actually spoke to one of my (non Canadian) GF ’s about the company….she has been getting the boxes for over a year and can’t say enough good about them. She assured me they would fix the problems and I should just sit tight. She also loves the “add ons” and other perks they offer. I told her I would wait and see how this worked out before I upgraded. #ImLikeThat So fast forward - I spoke twice with CS and they asked for pictures, which I sent of the oil soaked box, etc. Then it did take a few days for them to respond back to my emails, but so far I have received a replacement of the oil (yeah!) and an email telling me that the 5 missing face masks are on the way. The last email informing me I would receive replacement face masks was sent on the 20th….so it has taken some time. I will post, of course, when the masks do arrive and hopefully this will be resolved soon. At this point I am still game to spend $50 for the next seasonal box (and review it here for you) but not upgrade and subscribe for a year up front. Being a business owner I know mistakes happen, it’s part of the equation, but it’s how we handle these mistakes that makes all the difference in the world. So we shall see how they do on the next round.
What do you think? Have you had a similar experience with this brand? I’d love to hear your take on it or your thoughts. Until then... Did you see?
Canada's airports are modernizing to improve border-related services. They are implementing this service to meet the need of increasing volumes of international travellers visiting this under rated country. I used a kiosk very similar to this last month when I went through immigration on my return from Iceland. It was pretty simple, I was asked to scan my passport, take a photo, and complete an on-screen declaration. Did you know with this new Canadian system you can download the CanBorder eDeclaration App so you can complete it in advance, and then you’ll just have to scan the barcode at a kiosk? How convenient is that? When was the last time you went to Canada? I haven't been in a while myself.. but it's on the list to explore more fully. See you at the airport- |
