Ready, Set, Jet!

Morning Travel Family, Hope you are safe and snug where ever you are. Work is slowing down for me and I'm super excited to tackle that large pile of "TBR" (To Be Read) books stacked up in my den. I have a few art projects in process and one book is in its final editing pass, so I thought the pressure was lifting a bit. And now, with the new quarantine rules in effect it just seems that the stress has shifted. We do have plenty of TP and food, because I buy in bulk. Unfortunately most of the stores around here haven't had vegan milk, tofu, bread, TP, OTC and these types of items in several weeks. #Yikes! But its not all bad, I spent last night excitedly setting up a new bullet journal and washing clothes. #GoodTimes We can roll with the changes, I already (mostly) work from home and my son takes college courses online. Work trips are cancelled until September and even then who knows? I admit to being ready to travel and feeling a bit restless. I was supposed to be in the EU to look at a house in early May, but that was moved to January. They assure me no one is buying/moving/leaving their houses there and my DP will hold it. But still would like to get on with things. So it looks like we might be in New Mexico another year, yet. It's not bad here, but its also not Europe. So how are you doing? Is your town on lock down or are you just going about life as usual?
Let me hear from you~ Happy "Whatever Day It Is" Lol I hope you have time off with your loved ones and are able to relax and enjoy yourself. Happily, I've met my deadlines for 2019 on all new projects and am working away to meet the 2020 deadlines now. These new projects have made the holidays more stressed, but we still managed to visit friends, attend a cookie making party and have a great Christmas. Catch you later~
Morning Travel Fam! The gifts are wrapped, the cookies are in the oven and it’s officially feeling like Christmas! It’s truly the most wonderful time of the year—but this year I’m trying to take things a bit slower and soak everything in. Anyone else? For my little family, is the time of year we celebrate our lives, family, and our many blessings! We also use this time to remember everyone who we have lost. We honor them with a traditional candle lighting ceremony and by preparing foods they loved. We also share stories about our loved ones and I feel this truly keeps their memory alive. Merry Christmas from my family to yours❤️
I'm packing to leave for a long weekend ~ But just wanted to wish you a Happy Easter or Happy Weekend if you don't celebrate this holiday. We were headed out to go hiking and camp on the mountain, but its still raining so we will camp in hotel, lol. But it will still be a fun weekend.
I have a ton of road trip picture to upload -- hopefully by Friday or else I will just forget them and begin fresh. So stay tune for random travel love. Catch you later~ New Dresses, lol! Hi Travel Fam! April weather is perfect for shopping, lol Part of the fun of traveling is shopping for the trip. I found these new sundress the other day..next on the list is new sandals. The flowers and trees are in full bloom now and spring is finally here! See you at the airport!
Happy Spring! Hi, friends! Winter is in full swing over here in our part of the world, so naturally, I have two things on my mind: reading and staying warm! Nothing like a warm fire and a good book! Fortunately I have a pile of TBR and a cozy place to read. #WIN Hounded by Kevin Hearne
I have ordered book two and three & can't wait for them to arrive. I also read Garden Spells last month while I was ill. Although, I couldn't get into it at all. I was surfing around Amazon (always dangerous) and it was a "recommended for you based on your other purchases" so I gave it a try. :( Perhaps will try it again later. I'm not going to review it - other than to say I had to force myself to read it....and feel like it was a waste of time. But I do plan to review at least two books every week till I get caught up. (Perhaps I should review four at a time or we will be at this till next Christmas?) Lol Making for a clear, but cold day. I'm headed back to my spot by the fire to finish Leviathan Wakes. I actually put off reading this series because I enjoy the television show so much. Usually reading and watching don't mix, you know? But I haven't been disappointed...
What are you reading? Do you have any recommendation? Share your current "can't put it down" books please! Hey! How are you? If the rest of this year passes as fast as Janurary did then I'm in serious trouble! I had guests for 2+ weeks and worked. The house was full of people, plus some stayed down the street at a B & B. So there was lots of laughing, eating and visiting going on! It really was an amazing visit! I blogged about some movies to watch with your BFF here and also reviewed a random movie a friend recommended to me here. I also managed to do some used book shopping. I read a bit and owe you several reviews. Hopefully later this week I will get those out. The top book on that pile Hounded by Kevin Hearne was recommended by one of my friends here for the visit. She knew I would like it and she was so right! I'm already reading the second one in the series and buying the rest! We decided to eat healthy for this adventure so I mostly cooked. We wolfed down nice cream and smoothies everyday as well as homemade soups, Buddha Bowls, vegan cookies and lattes. I didn't take many pictures because I was busy eating too, lol! We ate a LOT! I think we went through approx. 40 pounds of bananas in two weeks! It's hard to tell because I had a lot of produce before we began this adventure, lol. Everyone seems to be happy eating plant based vegan and no one went hungry. The downside though, one person caught a cold and before you knew it we all had it. I finished off the month in bed, but at least I had a lot of new books to read. I'm excited to see what February brings.
See you at the airport~ |
