Ready, Set, Jet!

There are always so many last minute things to deal with. My current "to do" list is about a mile long, lol.
Do you have a special way to store your electronics to tech? How about your art supplies? What do you travel with? Let me know in the comment section below.
I'm sure I will be adding more to the list as we get closer to take off. See you at the airport! PS: This post contains affiliate links. I only share/promote items I use. By purchasing from the link I may receive a small compensation. It keeps the blog going and doesn't affect your cost. Hi, How are things? I'm busy doing the pre-packing and gathering up for the upcoming trips. This isn't exactly my favorite part of the travel experience, but it's probably the most necessary. My itinerary is not set yet but I have a good outline of where, what and when. I'm still researching (I will share some of my findings soon) and gathering items for the trip. I know I will be at the beach, then off to Austin, Texas for work (yeah) and then on to Florida for a much needed Vacation (with a capital V). So I'm thinking casual summer stuff --- plus work stuff, plus filming equipment for the Youtube channel, plus where I want to eat, who I want to visit and what I want to experience. Disney? Naw. Been there, done that with the kids. I would rather go to a nature reserve that supports wildlife. That's the fun part of the pre-trip part, researching what to see. The not so exciting part is the "gathering stage" of gathering that special vegan shampoo, toothpaste, plane snacks, etc. Plus knowing I'm going from one place to the next without a trip home makes the need to "gather" extra vitamins, toiletries, favorite snacks, etc. necessary. I've ordered extra vitamins and supplements already. Pictured "my can't be without supplements" you can find them via the link: Dream Sleep https://amzn.to/41NZbym Vegan Collagen https://amzn.to/3ISUnza Ashwagandha https://amzn.to/3J0F4o7 (Amazon informed me I have bought 22 times! This is my favorite brand hands down.) I also picked up another set of iPods. So who else overpaid for their AirPods and then lost one? 🥹 #Yikes I'm glad I found these on sale. https://amzn.to/3Jqf1s3
I have more to do, but I'm chipping away on my list day-by-day. It's been my experience the more prepared you are for your trips the more fun you have. I mean we can't prepare for every thing, but we can insure we don't run out of supplements and spend quality vacation time hunting them down. This is especially true when you are in a different country. I want to have fun and relax, not stress over vitamins, lol Speaking of stress-free...I'm gather a list of Vegan places to try in London and will soon be sharing my findings here. So be sure and check back in so you don't miss any new posts. You can also sign up for the mailing list here: Speak Soon- PS: This post contains affiliate links. I only share/promote items I use. That pretty much sums it up, doesn't it? I'm all about travel right now. It feels like I am waking from a long winter nap and am ready for adventure and new experiences. Are you feeling the same? What adventures do you have planned? See you on the ship!
Hello Friends~ It's September and everything is changing. We packed up the car and said goodbye to the cottage on the Bay. It was a wonderful 5 weeks of resting, reading and lazing about, but now back to reality. #eek While it was mostly sunny every day for this leg of the trip, the weather began shifting because of the hurricane(s) and storms in the gulf. We drove back to central Texas with heavy rain and flooding predicted. No rain pictures because it wasn't safe. After a few more days in the hotel we started the next adventure. I will share more of it as the month goes on... but I want to thank each and everyone of you for stopping by and reading my silly little blog. I appreciate your kind words, private messages and friendship. I know this will be an AMAZING month!
Hello Friends, It's been a glorious week on the coast! Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes and kind words. I appreciate each and everyone of you! This was a low-key week of chilling by the beach, watching pelicans laze around and catching up on my reading. I really needed this break and couldn't have asked for a better birthday. We had coffee on the bay every morning, visited the farmer's market, cooked inspired dishes and generally slowed down. This was the perfect place to escape the heat and reset. We did a few day trips to explore the surrounding small towns, but I really didn't film anything as I was content to just be in the moment and relax. It was nice to tour around and not worry about deadlines or work. I love to visit new cities and explore, but right now slow vacations are the best!
New videos soon and of course more book reviews are on the way. Visit my YouTube channel for more. Speak soon~ Hello from Texas! How are things going? August is speeding by, or so it seems. I hope you are finding time to relax and enjoy yourself. The heat is still awful here, but we are making the best of it. I try to only go out early in the morning (hello sunrise!) or after 8:00 pm. But this isn't as bad as it sounds, this gives me free time in the day to read, nap and write. (Best vacation EVER!) As of today (August 10, 2022) I have posted four times on this blog in August! Now they haven't been Pulitzer Prize winning essays but I do deserve a B for effort, lol. I'm working on more book reviews, recipes and more videos as well. BUT I am guilty of only remembering to take photos AFTER we eat or return home. But I promise to do better, next trip. Speaking of videos, I have uploaded six new videos this month. Most are shorts, except for Part One of a Summer Roadtrip. Check it out if you are bored. A summer storm blowing in and I'm taking full advantage of it- Lighting candles, making a snack and grabbing a book. The kettle is on and all is right in the world. Where ever you are in the world, make sure you take time today to do something that feeds your soul and gives you pleasure.
This is your life, live it your way. Back to the beach...
I have my toes in the sand and you can't make me come inside! I promise a proper post soon~ |
