Ready, Set, Jet!

As you may remember it is almost Christmas. It’s a time for family, food, celebrations and shopping. Okay, lots of shopping, BIG sales, internet sales and general buying madness. Are things like that for you? I spoke with Alicia the other day and she told me about all the great deals she found. Also how now she is regretting spending so much! If you have a big family or big social circle it can really be overwhelming. Fortunately for me, my family is really small. I really tried to limit my shopping and cut my list way, way down this year. Then I kept finding more and more great deals, lol Because I rarely shop, (Almost said that with a straight face, lol) I ended up purchasing a lot just for me. But from Black Friday to Cyber Monday it was a lot to resist. There were DEALS everywhere! Then Sephore went and had a sale.... So far, I've used the BB Beauty Balm a couple of times and tonight I was able to finally find enough spare time to try the peel off mask. I bought the BB Beauty Balm in "travel size" to try, just encase it was crap. It cost $18usd and is really small. The BB Cream isn't as good as some others I've tried, but I thought I would give it a week before I passed judgment. So far I’m not impressed. It seems very dry on my face, even on top of a moisturizer. I read the reviews about how it "plumps" up your face. (WTF?!) It also made my pores more noticable. To date nothing has topped the Dutch cream I discovered while living in Europe. It raised the bar and no other product is coming close. But as I said I will wait a week before passing final judgement. Now on to the Mask- Last night I tried the mask. I must say I liked it. I think the pores on my nose appeared smaller and my face felt much softer. The key is applying it thick and then it's easy to peel off, no scrubbing required. My skin felt wonderful after I removed it. Now I will see if it causes any breakouts or irritation. I find so many products do when you have fair skin and sensitive complexion. The tube is $34.usd and at this point I will purchase again. Thank you Sephora for helping me shop for myself, lol I will keep you updated as I try out more of my new loot!
See you at the mall and the airport~ Happy December! It's that time again. You know, time to remember I have a blog, lol and sort through all the random pictures on my iphone in hopes of a story or two. Most of the stories I can't share just yet...but soon. (Wink) Regardless, I hope you had a nice November. I sure did, thats why I haven't been posting much. So much is going on and I've been uber busy with work, the new house and shopping, of course. It would not be November/December without the all shopping! Mostly I am shopping for myself again. #Fail :( My Christmas shopping isn't done, but I'm close. So as a reward for all the hard work I've been chruning out (non blog related) I could not resist a new pair of shades. Oh! And of course the annual Sephora holiday sale started so I HAD TO GRAB something there, lol Luckly both of these parcels arrived today or I would be showing you more Vegan food and sunset pictures, lol. I think this is where I say "I will blog more this month"...you know, like I say every month? lol But I might actually do it this time. I plan on taking sometime off for the holiday and my next out of country trip isn't till Jan. Oh wait, thats next month????
I better start packing--#FML See you at the airport! So hey! I didn't have a witty title....So there you go. #FML Tuesday was a day I spent running around Texas - trying my best to finish up projects, get my hair did, and saying Goodbye to old friends. (Insert tears here) Naw, was actually fun - if you follow me on Snapchat then you saw how much fun we had. It was another lovely, dark and rainy day. Not typical Texas weather, but I will take it! I actually love this kind of weather. It was cool, not cold and a great day to be doing last minute stuff - most people don't drive in the rain, so I had the highway almost to myself. #Truestory There was a storm coming too. So the clouds were amazing! Then off to get my hair done.... And back home before the floods started. (For real) :o
Typical Tuesday in Texas, lol. *Warning* After I get this next trip outta the way I will be flooding the blog with pictures. See you at the airport~ Hello, Hows it going? I was recently surprised with this lovely Bath and Body Works collection gift. :D Do you have big weekend plans? I haven't actually slowed down long enough to make any. #FML
If the weather will continue being so nice we may either picnic again or go hiking. I gave up on the beach after the oil spill/pipe line fire. I don't love the Texas beach anyway, but after all that it seems like a really bad idea. #WTF?! Everything is toxic here lately. IDK.. Am so ready to take a trip. #Wanderlust really is my middle name, lol. Catch you later- Hi and Happy Spring! Hope you are having lovely spring weather. I have been enjoying this fine weather by shopping a bit. Ok, actually shopping A LOT lately. :o Are you sticking to those New Years resolutions? Exercise more often and eat better were the two BIG issues for me. Its been tough, but I have been doing both. When I eat healthier I always feel better. So while I'm on a roll I thought I had better stock up on healthy foods. Thats my main downfall, I'm lazy. I admit it. While working long hours I get hungry and just grab whatever is close by. :/ If it's fruit then I eat fruit, if it's junk then I eat junk...if it's a chair, well you get the idea. Thanks to Groupon I finally tried Geenling. It's a local, organic grocery delivery market in central Texas. Groupon offered $50USD for $25USD including free delivery! #WIN To be honest I'm not sure why I waited? That lazy thing again, I guess? Here's what I bought: Actually everything in the bin was good.. I should have taken pictures faster, but I was too busy eating with both hands. #ImNotLying So please to look at the sunflower seed spread and be amazed at my shopping powers. LOL Best.NIGHT.CREAM.EVER! But it should be for what it cost. $110.USD per jar @ Sephora. I also stocked up on ZAP. I tried it in a VeganCuts box and really think it helped my allergies. I now give to everyone around me who is ill. (And there always seems to be someone with allergies or flu or cold around here. WTF?!) They are all excited to take it too...saying they can breath better immediately. Do try it if you are having those kinds of problems. I was surprised to find out It's made right up the road from here in Austin, Texas. I took them to work and put a couple of bags on the "snack table." The locals were afraid at 1st, "What the Hell? PEAS? What kinda CRAZY ASS VEGAN stuff is she trying to feed us?!?!" but after one bite they were sold. All bags are now gone, lol. And.. And I almost forgot- I bought a new passport for my Mac. I needed another 1TB to hold all my photos and videos. Somehow I managed to scratch the top from one picture to the next. How? IDK. But it works fine. My computer is so much faster now that I cleared so many files off. #SuperWin
Speaking of super win, seems I alone have been keeping the US economy alive. Your welcome. Now I must get back to work so I can afford more night cream, lol. Talk soon-
Hey,
How's it going? I'm about 12 hours later than normal in posting today. This has been the longest day ever. It really hasn't been BAD just really, really long, WTF?! I seem to be in some sorta time flux. Someone please call Dr. Who for me? #Geronimo and all that...IDK, do you think it could have had something to do with that run in the fog yesterday? LOL But let's move on and not think too much about it, ok? Some of my latest on line loot came in today. I swore off all shopping for the month of Jan. so I'm outta everything now. I had to change up my travel plans yet again. (Not too happy about that you know I have #wanderlust.) So I placated my urge to travel by shopping. #ImBeingTruthful Actually I rec'd packages at home, at the office and at the Post Office box today. (It was sorta like Christmas, except one box was vitamins & that's not something Santa should NOT bring.)
Bought these from an online store. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE smoky topaz. Did I mention I love smoky Topaz? I have a quite a few pieces already, but these were different so I thought why not? I was buying the fire opal earrings (at the top) for a gift, but I may now keep them. They are SO COOL. The light really catches the fire of the opals and it flashes like mad. I don't have any fire opals (only the boulder type, I think?) But also I have NOTHING to wear with them. I know if I keep them it will require MORE shopping! :D
And in another box I also got this...
I admit to being hooked on Peter Thomas Roth after I was gifted the night repair cream. So Now I am moving on to daytime/sunscreen and lip balm and anything else that I can find.
Please pardon the front camera on my ipad. (and the messy hair)
Am I bombshell yet? Lol Actually I used some err, cheap lipstick last week and it dried out my lips LIKE MAD. I have been using this wonderful Vegan lip balm (see below) but it just didn't seem to heal after the cheap lipstick. #FML
I was at dinner one night with Vanessa and friends and pulled this out of my bag to reapply. Someone asked me what it was and I announced it was Vegan and it was so good. But they thought I said, "Bacon" not Vegan, (Because they sound so similar, right?) and now all kid me about my bacon lip balm. LOL Meat eaters are so crazy.
I'm bored with my web design again. I want to change it, but don't know to WHAT. Any suggestions? IDK...Random isn't really a design style, lol.
Ok, I'm off to watch more True Blood and actually sleep. I'm hosting this weeks Girls Movie Night. So that means be on the look out for blurry food pictures and more nonsense from my crazy ass friends. Catch you later- Hello! How are things? Hope all is well with you. I bought this polish sometime ago and really like it. Its from Sephora and is called S-age is just a number. It is almost impossible to capture the different colors with the camera. Its gold, bronze, and green. I was excited to see how it would look on my nails. This was 2 coats and although it looks mostly bronze in the photos it changed to all the different colors as I moved my hands or the light changed. What do you think? I had so many people comment on how pretty it was. :D
One coat was too sheer for me, but two covered nicely. I would think 3-4 coats would really add to the shine/color change ability. I just didn't have a lot of time. I'm glad I bought it and will use it again. Catch you later- Hola!
How are things? I just snagged a bit of new skin care loot. Yippee! I absolutely love Peter Thomas Roth Night Crème! I have dry skin (too much fire) and even though I eat right and drink gallons of water it is still dry. I started using the night crème last Dec. 2012 and was really amazed. It was moisturizing without being oily! I really thought I would suffer breakouts after using a day or two, which is what usually happens. BUT NO! And my skin felt so much better. I think it looks much better too. It is definitely more even in tone and less dry/flaky. I don't have to wear foundation now, just concealer under my eyes for those dark circles. (Oh and sunscreen of course.) I now get soo many complements on my skin. :) I haven't tried the peel pads, but if they are half as good as the night crème, I am sure they will be great. I think I will only use weekly, as my skin is also sensitive. I will let you know how it goes. Catch you later-
How are things? The new year is just rockin right along, isn't it? :D
I returned to work (sigh) and one of my tasks was to visit the Dollar Store for kitchen supplies. Exciting, huh? While there I spied this polish on the Clearance shelf. As you know I like nail polish & I spend quite a bit on what I like. #TrueStroy
After using the nail polish: I can say 1-2 coats covers well. BUT it chips super easy. (Not that some of the $12.00+ polishes don't chip, because we all know they do. WTF?!) Also it looks funny with silver jewelry. :( Must wear gold. But I'm good with that. :D
So for the holidays or maybe deep in the summer months...Not that I tan anymore. (Good God, NO!) It would be a nice, festive change. :D Over all for the less than $2.00USD it was a GREAT BUY. Money well spent! I wish I could say that about all my purchases. :o See you at the airport!
Hey!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hope you are ready to Party! I sure am...So I posting this tonight because tomorrow I gotta hit the ground running. So many parties, so little time... :D Now back to topic, lol Here were my top posts (via clicks) for December: *My Blog is 1 year old. (Guess what this one was about??!) LOL *New Orleans December Trip part 1 (Yeah finally some travel!) This is a fairly long, picture heavy post of getting to Nawlins'. *Christmas Shopping (Mostly just messing around. Picture heavy post with lots of cute borders.) *Velvet Chocolate (Nail polish. Hats off to the ladies that make whole blogs on nail polish. Because let me tell you it's hard/impossible to achieve picture perfect nails!) #FML Anyway, thank you for taking the time to ready my silly little blog!
I can't wait to see what next year is gonna bring!
