Happy Easter
Hope you are enjoying your long weekend. Thought I would catch up on my sleep, but that didn't happen. Lol
My allergies blasted me & I had to cancel my dinner date last night. Love the wildflowers & all the trees budding out, but really cannot breathe! I've a bit of work this afternoon but would really like to be in the garden. But that's probably not going to happen unless I Medicate myself & that's not how I like to spend my time off.
Ms. Y & her hubby are headed to Ecuador Tuesday to look at property. Cannot wait to hear her report. It's supposed to be a very lovely area with a great climate & low cost of living. I've never been, so am keen to hear her findings.
So must run now- More soon!

So it's Friday & it's been a pretty good week. Much accomplished - manage to catch up with old friends, do a little shopping & kick back. I also stuck to my meditation routine while traveling & Really feel its helping with my stress level.
Been trying to eat healthier - This came with the flowers, grr. I will give a good amount away, really.
And When I checked out they only added $19.36USD for taxes so it was an amazing deal. Will definitely return.
Ok have 100 emails to sort & chocolate To eat. Till then! "Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage."
-Machiavelli Hotel was a great deal. Its clean, recently redone, beds are comfy & wifi is free. So it meets my requirments. The balcony is kind of odd; overlooking parking lot. But is ok. Can only enter from lobby - so is safe. But there is the typical warning - lock doors, don't leave valuables in cars, etc. No safe in room, but free at front desk, I think. This is a pretty safe part of Austin, or used to be. (?) Just general mischief- All the stuff my French friends are shocked at! People here cannot believe how safe other countries are. That's why you have to turn off the tv & go explore. Go see for yourself how it is..
So much I need to do while in town!People to see, places to revisit, shopping & a couple of bands I wanna catch. I really miss Austin, but don't want to move back. Once again I heard, "OMG! Why are you in hotel? You can stay with me!" So sweet, but I could not impose. *shy*
Don't take many pix while I'm out (focused on food & shopping, lol) Toodles- Finally left the office, finished packing & we were out the door. Traffic was minimal until we ran into the new toll roads south of Austin. There wasn't much traffic there, But I looked down to see I was going 80 just as I passed a sign showing speed limit was 85! WTF! I'm where again exactly? But also people on the access road were passing me (+90) so after some rerouting left the toll road (no place to pay that I could see WTF) so will be getting a bill in mail for that racing lap.... Once I was on Interstate 35 the traffic was gridlocked & twice we were stuff in jams at approx 3:00 pm. 5:00 rush hour must be horrible. Usually I avoid 35.... But hotel is on access road.
The staff was friendly & honored my groupon (see other post about those changes) they did run my card for taxes & insendentals (last hotel charged me 3 extra nights- but I was refunded - oh that's the one the lobby caught on fire... but that's another story)
Also having 2 ac/heaters is lovely. And 2 flat screen TVs for ppl that like to watch. The sofa bed seems pretty good, too.. Yes, I pulled it out & checked. Better matteress that I expected.
Now I'm off to eat & see a friend or two. Later~ I sorta took the day off today. I did billing, returned emails, calls, etc. But also tried to get the last minute details cleared out for the Austin trip & began packing. Also did manage to catch a good sale via Hotwire on hotels in New Orleans. This Austin trip is my 1st using Groupon. I see their awesome deals all the time but hesitate to try. Heard some really horrible stories via the business end from merchants being overrun with coupons and loosing their shirts. My profit margin is too close to even consider such, WTF! But one of my buddies uses them all the time and swears by it, so am going to give it a go. But actually we are off to a bad start. I purchased this deal in Feb and booked and had to reschedule due to work. (I really can’t just take off whenever I want regardless of what you may have heard. The boss works the hardest of all) But to their credit the hotel was friendly and made a change no problem. But the next days I wanted where in their blackout dates, uh oh--but they honored the coupon after the closing date. (not blackout) But we shall see when I am there. I try to prepare for things when I travel, but also expect the best too. CYA and all will be well. Till then… “Listen with ears of tolerance! See through the eyes of compassion! Speak with the language of love” To be quite honest I still do not know what this site is for? One of my clients urged me over and over to join, so I did. Another friend said its where “bored American housewives dream”…well that’s probably not in their web description, but I can see the allure. I immediately went into business mode, but then thought No, let’s just be a tourist—so I haven’t put any of my products on, yet. But it is fun looking at all the pictures…I set up a board for Men’s clothes as I buy my guys clothing, sometimes. Who doesn’t love a sharp dressed man? One for places I’ve been and LOVE and one for where I Want to Travel to. I’ve yet to go to Asia, but its coming. I then found cool stuff for my houses, Wise Words, and oh garden stuff & a few things I might actually make! Oh and recipes that looked good that I might actual want to try ---And the madness took over! But Then I found some of my friends there! They were holding out on me! So now I’m linking this blog to pinterest *why I’m not sure* so it will be the whole inception thing of blogging about pinterest while reading pinterest 0___0 Ok enough of this I have to find a hotel now in the French Quarter for 5 days that doesn’t cost more than my house! Wish me luck ~ It’s Never Boring..
I swear I have heard this story over and over…Seems when I was a very young child my mother ran into a band of travelers (she says it was at the market, but where was she really?) Anyway, these “travelers” aka- gypsies ran into us. I take it quite literally, as they knocked us down and smacked me on my wee little head. Mom says one older woman, looking around quickly grabbed me and placed her hands on my red hair. She was very still and thoughtful. After a few minutes she pronounced I would have “an interesting life” and they quickly left the market, in full run. Well she was right. Not always good, but never boring….and usually quite interesting. I’m in South Texas (America) today, Austin is the capital and I’ll be there in 3 days for a little R & R + some business. I waited until after all the SXSW was done. (Google if you don’t know what it is.) As it is sheer madness, locals leave & let the tourist take over. Did I tell you I used to manage a rock band? In Austin? Like 3 years ago? No, we don’t know each other that well, yet do we. But speaking of Madness… Next month I’m in New Orleans, Louisiana. So let’s see how this goes… Talk Soon-- So how is your March going? Mine seems to be a circus. (-minus the elephants and peanuts) of course. Here is some random randomness I found while looking for pictures on this computer. I seem to be spending a lot of time at the supermarket. When I'm in France I go everyday, buy fresh produce, a little of this and a little of that...is all nice and good. Ahh, fresh and affordable. Stop by the bakery pick up some foods and off we go happy and satisfied. Meanwhile in Texas it is a cart full, $200.00USD or more and WTF we are out of something go back next day spend another $200.00! Madness. Why? I have no idea, but it just works that way. Went a few times to Sample the Food at Mamacitas. Ok, mostly the Cheesecake. This trip I went with Ms. Y and her trunk just randomly popped open. She jumped out to close it and I saw this pretty garden someone had planted by their privacy fence, complete with butterflies. Nice, huh? This is was soo good! And Yes, I did get extra peppers. I brought almost all of it home because it was so much FOOD and I had to save room for the Cheesecake. I never remember to take pictures of it as I am too busy eating it! LOL This was dinner date at Johnny Carinos. I was trying to take decent photo in parking lot and was almost ran over. Yes, I might have been in the way, but anyway.. Its rather funny; guy was like, "You didn't bring your big camera?" I was thinking not after what happened with the canon *See Feb. * But this wasn't Rick either... Make up for crappy shot with nice Wholesome Salad picture. See I eat others things than Tacos. (Sometimes) My Mum just had to have a new 1 cup coffee maker. So I bought her one, like 3 years ago. She still uses old drip coffee pot. Now she wants one of these. They use "pods" and make all kind of wonderful flavored coffees and teas. So asked Ms. Y for a report on hers and she said they really love it, easy to use, no mess, easy to clean and lots of choices on coffees. So maybe for her birthday. I try to buy Pizza for work at least once a month. If we are really, really working hard then more often. And speaking of work I need to get back to it.
