Seems like May was over in a flash! Was it like that for you too? I didn't really blog that much in May. This was a Vegancuts Beauty Box I ordered. 9 pictures and extra points because I set the box (and some of the products) on a few of the books I'm currently reading! But sadly no food in this one, I'm sure had it featured food it would have scored higher, lol. Thank you for reading my silly little blog and all the random randomness that is my life! See you at the airport! It's been awhile since we visited Rumi. For those that don't know him yet, Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī more popularly simply as Rumi, was born September 30, 1207 and left this place on December 17, 1273. He was so many things including a poet, a scholar, theologian and a Sufi Mystic. Wiki says: "Rumi's influence transcends national borders and ethnic divisions: Iranians, Tajiks, Turks, Greeks, Pashtuns, other Central Asian Muslims, and the Muslims of South Asia have greatly appreciated his spiritual legacy for the past seven centuries.[10] His poems have been widely translated into many of the world's languages and transposed into various formats. Rumi has been described as the "most popular poet"[11] and the "best selling poet" in the United States." Read more on wiki. If you have not read any of his poems (what cave are you living in?) rush out now to buy a book or order from Amazon. Until it arrives you can read my Rumi tag for more uplifting, joyous and delicious Rumi poems. "Grief can be the garden of compassion. If you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life's search for love and wisdom." Rumi "Love will find its way through all languages on its own." - Rumi "Beauty surrounds us, but usually we need to be walking in a garden to know it." Rumi Enjoy your day! Hi, How are things? I promise we will get back to the Thankfulness challenge shortly, if you missed any of it click here to catch up. In the meantime I recently went on a 10 day road trip. Yeah! It was GREAT to be back traveling again! I took a few pictures, and am in the process of editing them, but before I write up a HUGE post I wanted to share with you a bit about a hotel I stayed in. ![]() See, one of the biggest surprises of this trip was this hotel. I wasn't expecting much. I really was thinking I should have booked a "better" place, but when we arrived...I was very happy to see it was above my expectations. I booked sight unseen via Hotwire. I have more pictures of the room and of course some of our adventures. I will tell you the name in the next post, because I need to check the bill for more info.
We actually went BACK there on the return trip, but it was booked FULL. Which I can understand - low price and uber clean, big rooms, I'm sure its booked most nights. Look for more about it in a full post soon! “Anyone who knows me, should learn to know me again; For I am like the Moon, you will see me with new face everyday.” ― Rumi “Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside you.” ― Rumi “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” -Rumi “Not only the thirsty seek the water, the water as well seeks the thirsty.” ― Rumi ![]() “From "Wetness and Water" How does a part of the world leave the world? How can wetness leave water? Do not try to put out a fire by throwing on more fire. Do not wash a wound with blood. No matter how fast you run, your shadow more than keeps up. Sometimes it's in front. Only full, overhead sun diminishes your shadow. But that shadow has been serving you. What hurts you blesses you. Darkness is your candle. Your boundaries are your quest.” ― Rumi “Lovers find secret places
inside this violent world where they make transactions with beauty.” ― Rumi “The garden of the world has no limits, except in your mind.” ― Rumi “All day I think about it, then at night I say it. Where did I come from, and what am I supposed to be doing? I have no idea. My soul is from elsewhere, I'm sure of that, And I intend to end up there. This drunkenness began in some other tavern. When I get back around to that place, I'll be completely sober. Meanwhile, I'm like a bird from another continent, sitting in this aviary. The day is coming when I fly off, But who is it now in my ear who hears my voice? Who says words with my mouth? Who looks out with my eyes? What is the soul? I cannot stop asking. If I could taste one sip of an answer, I could break out of this prison for drunks. I didn't come here of my own accord, and I can't leave that way. Whoever brought me here will have to take me home. This poetry. I never know what I'm going to say. I don't plan it. When I'm outside the saying of it, I get very quiet and rarely speak at all. We have a huge barrel of wine, but no cups. That's fine with us. Every morning We glow and in the evening we glow again.” ― Rumi #Rumi #Poetry #Love "I am not this hair, I am not this skin, I am the soul that lives within." — Rumi "Poems are rough notations for the music we are." Rumi "Love is the whole thing. We are only pieces." -Rumi "Try something different. Surrender."
Rumi "The garden of the world has no limits, except in your mind." Rumi "No more words. In the name of this place we drink in with our breathing, stay quiet like a flower. So the nightbirds will start singing." Rumi "Whoever's calm and sensible is insane!" Rumi For more Rumi Quotes click here and here. Have a beauty filled day, friends- |
