So how are things? Busy here (mostly working) and dreaming about this.. Mostly I have been running around getting the last minute things done before the next adventure. I know I still owe you picture from like 2 outings and a road trip....But I'm working on it. We have had a bit of rain (finally) and with it comes magnificent sunrises and sunsets. And another. The sunsets have been very fiery and bold. OH! I noticed the wildflowers are starting to pop up too. Pictures soon. I have successfully packed up all my paints, all the sketch pads, new canvas's, painting equipment and even over priced markers and now am CRAVING LIKE MAD to paint and make the art. #WTF? I do not touch them for almost 6 months and now suddenly I must have them? I think it could be because I am now at a place to draw again. I feel like my head and heart are clearing and I can concentrate again. Plus it is great to be happy and content once again. So I'm mostly back to my old self or maybe even a little bit better. As you know, dear reader, I'm pretty happy 90% of the time (the other 10% is mainly just amazement) or I am when no one is MAKING me unhappy.
I tested that theory of "no one but yourself can make you unhappy" lately and my findings were that Yes, yes they can. Constant mind games, bullshit and bipolar behavior can make you unhappy no matter how zen you are. Having someone constantly hammering away at your self esteem is unforgivable and wrong. Period, end of story. So why put up with it, even for a minute? Because if someone really cares about you..they will not behave in such away. No excuses are ever acceptable for this type of behavior. So I may not be totally zen, but I think I am no doubt wiser for all the last few years. And damn site happier. :D Just do not put cheese on my salad, okay? See you at the airport. As you may have seen..I don't have a #FB button on this site. I'm not gonna say I dislike Face Book, but I don't love it either. I have had a business page for years and well... it came to a very bad end and I do not miss having to deal with it. I even resisted for a bit on starting a new one. I instead started a small, personal and private page. This is a totally different experience Only a very few of my friends have found me and it is a thousand miles from my business adventure..... How I use Face Book:
I Don't personally look at it for a week, then spam the shit outta the pictures I see! (Non stop!) But you have no idea the stuff thats in my stream that I don't repost.... Such as 1/2 naked kilt wearing men, Vegan /Animal Rights made picts of animals that will make you weep and never look at food the same, pretty stones WE ALL NEED, Over the top Texas Pride, totally true sexual quotes, wicked and dark humor, cats/dogs doing cute stuff and trust me ever flipping second Nat Geo seems to publish the coolest shit ever... But I would not change my feed for anything, I'm so glad that I get to see my friends from all over the world and be in their lives in such an intimate way. Even if I don't understand some of the stuff they post...What is the fascinate with meat eaters and casseroles for God's sake?? So thank you readers for stalking me and finding me on Facebook...but at this time that account is not taking any friends requests. So do not take it personally, it's not YOU its ME. See you at the airport- Lately I have been all about having a big bowl of Vegan Nice Cream for breakfast - I used to run out the door with a (still healthy) smoothie in hand. But lately I have decided to take the stress out of my day by NOT accepting any phone calls or reading any texts before I get out of bed. I meditate, go for a walk and have a big bowl of Vegan love! It's amazing how much better the day goes. Yes, I have to get up a bit earlier, but it is so worth it. My body feels good, I feel mentally refreshed and ready to have a productive and exciting day.
If you are living under a rock and don't know how to create this lovely, raw and delicious bowl of love - Here is the basic recipe: HEALTHY BANANA NICE CREAM RECIPE Use 4-5 ripe bananas per person, chopped and frozen 1 tablespoon of almond milk per banana (or water) Pulse frozen bananas and unsweetened almond milk in a food processor/blender until it’s the consistency of ice cream. Done! Top with your favorite healthy topping and serve immediately. YUMMY TOPPING IDEAS:
What I used for the bowl above: 5 frozen bananas 1 Tablespoon of organic peanut butter (Added in the blender) 1 Tablespoon of Organic Cacao (Also added in the blender) Toppings: handful of walnuts Handful of coconut Results: Damn Good! Do try it yourself and let me know what fun and yummy combinations you come up with! If you have been reading lately you know I am currently traveling.. Yes, I travel with blender and small food processor when I can. :D See you at the airport! Hey, So how are things? I'm happy to report I'm traveling (or soon will be, depending on when this post updates!) So please to enjoy a random day roaming around Texas till I have wifi again. My average day consists of work, and more work. No, actually I also find time for running errands, exercise, visiting friends and a little slack time (if I'm lucky). We play poker, go to the cinema, go hear a cool band, or concert. I also like to check out a new restaurant, or shop, go hiking, or explore something fun outside, if the weather is good. So I'm actually busy all the time. (So Why aren't my posts better? I tend to think it's all boring, normal stuff, so don't talk too much about that kind of random, daily stuff, but a friend just pointed out to me they wanted to see it to better understand life in other places, so I Will try to do better!) Yesterday was all about errands; sigh...so no fun was really had. Well thats not true, I actually had fun running errands. I tend to think this is normal, (see below) until I travel and see that not every country has a good selection of organic produce. The organic section of our local supermarket is good and keeps expanding. It's much bigger than shown in this picture, but it is always full of people, (hence why it continues to grow). Even small shops carry some organic selections here. Also, I consider this normal...but it's not everywhere else. It's a drive up bank. Every bank in our town has one and there are at least 7 in our small area. I had never seen one in the UK or Europe, but I just figured I was in the wrong area, didn't look hard enough, didn't need one, so didn't care..Then was told they do not exist other places. WHAT???! How to use: You drive up (duh) and use the vacuum tubes to send your money or checks to the teller inside. There is a glass window (you can see them and they always wave) and also a camera and a microphone / call button to talk if there is a question. Easy peasy and pretty much quicker than parking and going inside and waiting in line. They are life savers here. When its 105' and humid no one walks anywhere...ever! Okay, enough errands and sightseeing in Texas.... Behold my new dishes...I bought them for our new house and new start. More about that later... I made this with PIP and thought it was pretty. I have little to no time to edit (sorry) my pictures or play around with apps now. Work is blowing up and I am so very busy. I am very thankful because it also allows me to continue traveling and also gives me some options on what I want to do next. I feel like I am finally moving forward again. #LifeisGood See you at the airport~
Happy Valentine's Day! So what do most people do in Texas to celebrate? Rope some cows? Naww- thats reserved for special days. But seriously, most women receive flowers, gifts, candy, etc and then the couple either goes out to eat or away for the weekend. Some people celebrate on cruises or romantic get aways. Most just have the romantic dinner, exchange gifts and go back to work Monday. What did you do? How do you normally celebrate? Most of my friends went the dinner route, one went to NYC for the weekend. (Her husband is an over achiever, :D) There are a lot of weddings on Valentine's Day too. Vegas is always fully booked as well. I know because I was in a wedding not that long ago in Vegas. It was an amazing adventure in itself, one day I will write it up. I'm currently packing up now, for my next extended trip. I'm sure you will be so glad when I go back to posting holiday pictures and stop writing so much random crap..all I can say is ditto! See you at the airport~ What was I saying about the weather being weird again? Well it is... When not fleeing the mighty Texas sun, I have been out to eat a few times. (Yes, mainly Tacos and Taco related foods.) I will skip my normal, every day boring taco pictures.. although they were damn tasty and speaking of Damn Tasty... Torchy's Tacos are as good as people claim. Weather was nice enough to lazy about on the patio and enjoy the tacos one Sunday. Happy almost Valentine's Day. Hope you get plenty of love.
:D See you at the airport- How can you go wrong with Juice? I love fresh made juice and am constantly experimenting on what the best (and most unusual) combinations I can come up with. When I don't have time to make my own, I buy this brand. It's really good and very close to homemade. Come over to the way of juicing... If you are going to try your own juice at home, be warned it is addictive. Once you start you will see we seem to have the misconception that it is difficult to juice (or become Vegan or eat raw..#WTF?) But honestly This is huge world of fun! You will soon be playing 'made scientist' in the kitchen with the rest of us! BUT Know your pesticides, especially if you are in America. Breakfast or late night snack, nothing beats Nice Cream. I eat it and still feel guilty. WTF? How can something so good, be so innocent? Thats Peanut butter, Caco and banana with Walnuts and coconut flakes. #Heaven
Ok, enough about food already, I'm ready to go somewhere! See you at the airport~ |
