Hello! Felt like writing a long, meaningful post, but NO TIME at all this week. So much is happening, please to enjoy brief ramblings. See Spring is here and no one wants to be inside. We have a brief window before it become unbelievably HOT. No time to sit at desk, must be out in the flowers. :D The wild flowers are kicking butt. See? On my way to the mail box at home I saw the iris's are also getting in the game. I just love them. I made time this week to get my passport picture done. Now I just have to mail off for my renewal. If you follow me on instagram and dayre you know that I have been stocking up on fruit this week. Strawberries are a nice addition too... One of my friends is getting a divorce (out of the blue) and she ended up in my office most of the day. I feel so bad for her. She and her daughter are just lost as to what they should do next. No one even knew they weren't getting along. So it was a BIG shock to our group too. :o Now on to something more pleasant... I was surfing Ebay for something (Can't remb what?) and found a GREAT DEAL on polish. Hope to carve out enough time this weekend to try them out. It was just such a crazy week, sorry for the lack of posts. Will attempt to do better in April. I have a short trip to Dallas and another to new Orleans coming up. Yeah #Travel! I am excited. :D
And I must report with juicing, eating more fruit and making time to walk or workout I am feeling better than I have in a long while. I really think the food I was consuming was making me ill. I'm not lossing any weight, which is actually ok. The main thing is I'm feeling so MUCH BETTER. And my stress has gone way, way down. It actually doesn't make any sense, because I still have reports/projects/BS at work and home that needs to be dealt with. WTF?!? Could it be that if we eat right we stress less? Catch you later- “There are three questions every woman should be able to answer yes to before they commit to a man. If you answer no to any of the three questions, run like hell."
[...] "Does he treat you with respect at all times? That's the first question. The second question is, if he is the exact same person twenty years from now that he is today, would you still want to marry him? And finally, does he inspire to be a better person? You find someone you can answer yes to all three, then you've found a good man.” ― Colleen Hoover, Slammed Hello World, Hope things are going good for you. Been really busy here. Sorry for the lack of updates.. I promise to do better. Many things have been going on lately, actually massive amounts of Good things are going on, but they just leave me with no time to write. I'm headed to San Antonio this weekend for a little R & R. When things settle down I plan on spending a day or two laying by the pool, soaking up the sun & doing nothing. Then I'm sure I will organize my pictures, trip notes, etc. and will be posting like a mad woman. Or probably more realistically I will be sleeping, so it could go either way, lol. #Truth Meanwhile, I rec'd the March Conscious Box. #Score! I stepped outside to take a few quick pictures before the rains started. It has been raining just about everyday here, which is great, but before i could get many pictures it was pouring. See raindrops beginning on pictures? #Opps The theme this month was Lucky. They were doing a give away with a clover. Did you find one? And LOTS of other Good things. This box is mostly organic items that you (or at least I) never knew existed and NOW CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT.
:O See the Crystal Deodorant towelettes? Super great to throw in gym back or pack back. Never know when you will need them. Also see the pink ribbon on the package? I think this maybe the ONLY one that breast cancer ass. has approved for use. Meaning THIS WILL NOT GIVE YOU CANCER like so many other deodorants. #WTF?!?! :O Before I could snap anymore photos it was pouring. So I ran into the office and it was all over.. My co workers were letting me take pictures before they started going through the loot, lol. Everyone loves these boxes so much! I am thinking of upping the subscription to 2 boxes. Ok, my alarm is going off, time to go into a meeting. Take care and talk soon--- "We are all strangers in a strange land, longing for home, but not quite knowing what or where home is. We glimpse it sometimes in our dreams, or as we turn a corner, and suddenly there is a strange, sweet familiarity that vanishes almost as soon as it comes.”
― Madeleine L'Engle Hello, Hope your weekend went well. I have been busy doing a project (read a ton of mind numbing paperwork) for work, so we just stayed in. Exciting much? :o In between work, I found time to drink tea and read a bit. Do I know how to party, or what?? We also made time to watch a few movies. Meaning Rick forced me to take a break and watch movies with him. The best was "Girl Most Likely" It was funny and different. The entire cast was fab, funny and clever at the same time. I don't know about you, but I am so sick of predictable comedies. This was just enough oddball to be cool, without making you wonder what the writers were smoking. And Of course the critics panned it. But be different, think for yourself and watch it anyway. I was tricked into watching Wanderlust thinking it was about travel. Its not.
Back away slowly. We also caught up on Grimm and True Detective this weekend. I am usually too tired/brain dead to watch anything after work. So we end up watching back to back episodes. Rick watched more movies over the course of the weekend, but as to what they were I have no idea. Meaning: they must have all sucked. :( He gave me no report, so they must have been very forgettable. We stay up on Action flicks, but when I am stressed at work I really prefer to just watch something funny. Do you have any comedy recommendations? Is there some hidden gem we missed? Share Please! OH! Did you noticed I changed the blog theme again? The picture/theme (not the random crap I write about, lol) What do you think? I hope the nav bar across the top will work better & be easier to use than the last attempt. Let's try it out, k? Catch you later- ![]() Hello World, How's Spring going for you? The weather is SUPER nice here, so in taking full advantage of that Vanessa, Angelica and I went on a picnic last Monday. We went to a small park in San Marcos, Texas. The park had picnic tables, but we just put down towels & blankets and lazed on the grass. It was so nice to be outside and not stuck in another awful meeting. That sounds so bad, I love my job. I just don't love so many meetings. But back to the nature pictures... Vanessa brought her dog and he walked right off the sidewalk into that dark water! We freaked out, but he was fine. He swam and she was able to pull him out safely. #MuchDrama We all brought plenty of food and chilled. We ate, laid in the sun and laughed most of the afternoon. #BestMonday of the year! Vanessa said she heard that the city built this retaining wall because high school kids would come down there to party and get "dazed" and fall/slide off the bank into the water. Seems like that would sober you up quickly. * ___ * The water is still to cold to go tubbing. It was a really nice, relaxing day. I love spending time outside and with good friends.
What do you do to celebrate Spring? I'm going hiking this weekend and then off for another adventure before work Tuesday. Be on the look out for more blurry instagram pictures, lol See you at the airport- Hi and Happy Spring! Hope you are having lovely spring weather. I have been enjoying this fine weather by shopping a bit. Ok, actually shopping A LOT lately. :o Are you sticking to those New Years resolutions? Exercise more often and eat better were the two BIG issues for me. Its been tough, but I have been doing both. When I eat healthier I always feel better. So while I'm on a roll I thought I had better stock up on healthy foods. Thats my main downfall, I'm lazy. I admit it. While working long hours I get hungry and just grab whatever is close by. :/ If it's fruit then I eat fruit, if it's junk then I eat junk...if it's a chair, well you get the idea. Thanks to Groupon I finally tried Geenling. It's a local, organic grocery delivery market in central Texas. Groupon offered $50USD for $25USD including free delivery! #WIN To be honest I'm not sure why I waited? That lazy thing again, I guess? Here's what I bought: Actually everything in the bin was good.. I should have taken pictures faster, but I was too busy eating with both hands. #ImNotLying So please to look at the sunflower seed spread and be amazed at my shopping powers. LOL Best.NIGHT.CREAM.EVER! But it should be for what it cost. $110.USD per jar @ Sephora. I also stocked up on ZAP. I tried it in a VeganCuts box and really think it helped my allergies. I now give to everyone around me who is ill. (And there always seems to be someone with allergies or flu or cold around here. WTF?!) They are all excited to take it too...saying they can breath better immediately. Do try it if you are having those kinds of problems. I was surprised to find out It's made right up the road from here in Austin, Texas. I took them to work and put a couple of bags on the "snack table." The locals were afraid at 1st, "What the Hell? PEAS? What kinda CRAZY ASS VEGAN stuff is she trying to feed us?!?!" but after one bite they were sold. All bags are now gone, lol. And.. And I almost forgot- I bought a new passport for my Mac. I needed another 1TB to hold all my photos and videos. Somehow I managed to scratch the top from one picture to the next. How? IDK. But it works fine. My computer is so much faster now that I cleared so many files off. #SuperWin
Speaking of super win, seems I alone have been keeping the US economy alive. Your welcome. Now I must get back to work so I can afford more night cream, lol. Talk soon- Hello, How are things? I found some free time and snuck off to take pictures of the wildflowers. These pictures are mostly of bluebonnets. Did you know it is the state flower of Texas? It does not bloom very long, so I had a short window to take photos. Its also against the law to pick them. They are seeded along the interstate highways and busy roads. You usually see people stopped, with children sitting in the tall grass taking pictures... But you never want to do that. Because where there is tall grass in Texas there are snakes. Picture was from wiki, because even I don't hang around to take snake pictures. :x But enough about the snakes, lets look at the pretty flowers... I shot video, but for some reason it will not stay attached. #FML
IDK If I have time I will try and to visit the flowers again. As I said we have a short window before it becomes scorching hot and they are all gone. I am so not looking forward to that... I'm off now to have a picnic along the river with some friend, yeah spring! Blurry pictures to follow. Catch you later- Hey, How goes it today? I feel pretty lucky, how about you? We gave up working about an hour ago... It's St Patrick's Day and everybody is running around, goofing off -- me included. That big Party Vibe is in the air, you know? :D I think most people in other countries are surprised at how BIG A DEAL Saint Patrick's Day is in America. In San Antonio they even dye the river Green. San Antonio is NOT an Irish town. There are very FEW Irish people in South Texas. (Like maybe 2?) But it pretends it is on Saint Patricks Day. #itsGoodToBeIrish Imagine my surprise when I went to the UK for the 1st time and found how Irish people are thought of there. #WTF?!? Weird ass shit.... Meanwhile at work someone brought in cupcakes, yes GREEN ONES. I didn't eat any, so sadly no photos. I didn't bring in food or beer but being the great boss that I am, l did let everyone off at noon. #PartyOn (Best Monday ever.) I've got a few errands and then I'm headed home to watch the Boondock Saints and chill. Hell, I might even make Veggie Irish Stew for supper... Norman Reedus from that Zombie show... what's it called? Oh, Yeah The Walking Dead Stars in it... Rick and I were watching Boondock II when my TV blew up. I blame too much hotness from the DVD or perhaps Rick... Although I was on the couch with him when it blew. I have a new TV since so we shall test the theory out tonight..#LiveDangerously Have a pint on me and get your Irish on.
