Look what happened now...
Ready, Set, Jet!

Today we headed across England (I'm living in the Lake District) to Ikea in Newcastle. It took a couple of hours, but we took a scenic route and didn't rush, because getting there is 1/2 the fun! Actually in May we plugged in a address (I think for the IKEA in Roundrock, Texas) in the hotel room, and left. We went to IKEA and did other shopping and drove back. Waze guided us all the way back, even to the lift and our room! Too Crazy! But Waze rocks- It really helped us with the traffic in Austin and San Antonio during the Texas visit. From highway pot wholes to police on the road, it is a good app to have. But back to the UK Ikea trip. We went for office supplies and to look at bed frames, etc. Back home to more flowers! I am so spoilt now, lol.
July is here and the trip to #Scotland is not planned. (Panic mode is sitting in!) I have company arriving soon and house is not ready (Double the PANIC!) and all I want to do is work in then garden and shop at IKEA! #FML Stay tuned for more hastily thrown together house pictures. +More shopping, gardening and walks around #England. See you at the airport (And maybe in Scotland!) ~ Seems like a good day to explore a bit more. We headed back to Penrith. (See map below.) The weather was still much cooler than I am used to, making it a fun experiences, instead of the miserable 100+ temps we are used to in South Texas. I can't believe I'm wearing a coat in June! How cute is this? Finished up errands there and then off to see the ducks! I have 2 weeks to get my house in order before company arrives from New Orleans. Once she gets here we are out exploring every day. (So excited!)
So look for upcoming posts on Scotland, The Lakes and of course cleaning, lol. Catch you at the airport- Happy Weekend~ Its another lovely, rainy day and I've been out exploring the village. Even though its cold (they would say cool) its very green and there are blooming plants everywhere! Next up we go explore another village and a larger town.
Until then- see you at the airport! It's Monday, STILL. AND I'm still trying to convince my mail/apps/life to migrate into the new iPhone. It's having none of it. :( #Fail But perhaps its time to ask myself if I really NEED all those damn apps anyway? IDK..But since I have no clue what my login/passwords is, I guess its either start over or ditch them. What's your #1 "I can't live without app?" To be honest I would just settle for my mail & Viber to work. #WTF!? I had a successful day at work and no one was killed (by me throwing the iPhone) lol.
So all-in-all it was a good day. I have a few day trips in the works for later this week. Fingers crossed I can get off Ebay long enough to get my work done and sneak away. The new phone is taking excellent photos and Adventure is calling... See you at the airport- Hello All~ We have now been in England two weeks and are settling in. The village life is slow paced, but not like the small village life we experienced in France. To be honest I am unpacking, buying furniture and attempting to work - so I haven't even really begun to explore yet. The people are for the most part friendly, and the area is very pretty. Here are a few highlights of the last 2 weeks: I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
Take care and see you at the airport- Hello June! I hope your having fun & traveling well. These past few weeks I have (actually updated the blog) been traveling around Texas showing the sites to my visiting British friend. We have had a few awesome adventures, seen some odd shit and had overall a great visit. The weather was horrible with Texas getting record amounts of rain fall! #WTF? But between making a trip to the high desert, shopping and hanging out with my friends we barely noticed the rain storms. As I update this I ask myself, "How is it the year is now 1/2 over?" It seems like 2015 just started? So much has happened and so many people have touched my life this year. (More about that later-) I'm excited that for the next few months I will be in Europe exploring and reconnecting with my friends there. I miss my state side friends when in Europe and my European friends when in the states.. #CantWin :( There is a Scotland trip planned for next month with a visit to the outer islands and then I return to France in September for more adventures. I have no idea where we will be for Christmas or new Years Eve, but guess we better start planning now if we are going to book a place. #TooMuch2DO But I think for now I'm just gonna chill and visit the Lake District proper. And if you are really bored...you can follow me on Dayre - (It's not always the same things I post on here.) And truthfully I update more raw minute by minute on Dayre. #ImJustSayin
Thank you for reading this silly blog and supporting my adventures. Your kind words and suggestions for travel destinations mean a lot to me and I enjoy connecting with all of you. I look forward to another 6 months of adventures and can tell you now my Wander Lust is pulling me to new destinations. #YIKES! So hold on, I think its going to be an exciting next few months! See you at the airport- |
