Hi, How are things? Between work and adventuring it's been a busy year so far! I have managed to write a bit of the Iceland adventure up in multiple post and answer some of the questions you have asked. Here is a list of the top blog post for February 2017 if you missed any. I'm not complaining though - I like adventure and It’s been a busy year so far, both for work and travel. The trip posts in Februarys were of course, relating to my trips to NYC and Iceland. Here are the top, most clicked post for February, encase you missed them. Iceland Answers This post was mostly answering the questions people asked me most often about Iceland. "How Cold is it?" "What the hell do you eat there?" Etc. Mostly it was silly shite like that, with 31 random pictures of stuff in Iceland. What Are you Reading? Guess what this post was about? lol This post contains 7 pictures of the illustrations from the Japanese art book I was reading and a little information about the films/TV shows being filmed in my area. #OnPoint I was surprised so many people clicked it. Or gave a flip about what I was reading, although I do get asked often "off line".... Top 25 Travel Quotes Another Guess what this post was covering? LOL These are some of my favorite and most used travel quotes. I feel they convey, way better than I ever could, the joy, mystery and love traveling is for me. Instagram Explained This was a random catch up to explain some of the craziness I have been posting on IG. Eight (8) random images and sort of an explanation. Scared of Solo Travel This was just a dumb meme/short post I wrote in January. It's popularity shows me you want more posts about solo travel, or my fears or something scary. I will endeavor to do all of the above shortly. The Week After Christmas Random post with 15 random pictures. I was wine shopping for a New Year's Eve party and bitching about the cold. #GoodTimes Thank you for taking the time to read my silly little blog. I hope you enjoyed these posts and found them helpful or at least funny! March promises to be an amazing month!
See you at the airport~ Good Afternoon! I’ve been MIA again, but before I give you another lame excuse, know that I was thinking about you dear reader. Because I truly was, I haven't had time to blog, but I was thinking about you. Mostly I've been wondering why you keep coming back? Why you care about my silly little blog and what the HELL I should write about. So after much thinking, and hardly any writing, I think it's time for a Thankfulness Challenge again. You remember, like we did in the good old days? I found a 30 day (Goodness!) Challenge while I was googling *err, I mean Working* today and thought I would give it a try….and because I really am a dedicated hard, working blogger I will even filled in the parts I missed. So are you ready for a thought provoking, funny and hopefully interesting look at gratitude and thankfulness? Lets dive in! Day 1 challenge: List something about you, personally: Hmm, I think the thing I am most grateful for is my ability to learn. I have had so many opportunities and adventures because I was able to learn new skills. I don’t think I am terribly smart, (don't get me wrong, I'm not stupid, even if I can't spell!) But I am able to learn things quickly. This was an asset in every job/career I have pursued and I am grateful for this ability. Day 2: Something about you - physically your grateful for: Hmmm, I’m grateful for my body. I may not look like a swimsuit model, but I love the fact that I healthy. I love my body! It took me years to appreciate it, but now I marvel at it everyday! My body is my best friend and I try to take care of it and in turn we do amazing things! I am so grateful for my health and my body! Day 3: Your significant other or best friend: Hmmm, I have a lot of really good friends. People that have been through the ups and downs of life with me and I am grateful for every single one of them. And it would be easy for me to stop at that, but in the spirit of being "real" with you, I will be honest. For those that don't know, I married a lovely man whom I thought was my best friend. Currently, as I write this, I am in the middle of a divorce! But I can say I am grateful for the lessons it taught me. I have loved deeply and will again, I know this and am grateful. It was not an easy experience but it was worthwhile in learning how much I could love, what I could endure and how much of myself I would give up for another person. It taught me many, many lessons and I am grateful for the experience. Hmm this isn't as fun as I thought it would be, wtf?! This is more like freaking therapy! I swear when I went through the questions it sounded more entertaining. What do you think? Should we press on or stop this? Let's do one more today, maybe they get better.... Day 4: Your Children: Also really personal, OMG! As you know I don't talk much about my family here...but in the spirit of sharing I will. My son! I am so proud of my son and all he has achieved! I love him so much and am grateful every day for him. He was a good boy who grew into a good man. He is starting a new road in his life; taking college classes, adjusting to being back in the states and being an “official adult”. Our recent move and the divorce hurt him too, but his humor and steadfastness never wavered. He stuck to his plan and is moving forward. I know I am truly blessed to have him in my life and am grateful everyday for him! Okay that was 4 days of sharing my person life and gratitude. I'm sure it only gets better from here!
I will finish the challenge out and attempt to sort the 1,000's of pictures I have of my recent trips so I can get back to travel posting, yeah? Catch you later- Why do people keep sending me odd questions. This should answer the important stuff. (Tigers & shoes) lol Always Tigers and shoes...
