Hey, How are things? I'm continuing the planning proportion of my upcoming European adventure. It always amazes me how some details just fall into place so easily, while other bits seem like a jumbled jigsaw puzzle mess. How come?? My dear friend who picks me up at the nearest train station, (which is not that close) and is kind enough drive me to my apartment is away during my arrival this time. No big deal, right? Just get a cab you say, well NO. It would not be a big deal, Except it is over an hour drive from train station to home sweet home! #IliketheRuralLife And there are a few other tiny parts that are throwing me off. Example: How to quickly and safely get from Barcelona to rural France? With a bit of luggage? Added degree of difficulty (100 points) lets make it without 55 train/bus changes. Don't get me wrong, riding the bus in Europe and in the UK is NOTHING like riding the bus in the states. Usually it's much safer/cleaner/nicer. Although I did take a coach once in Scotland that was over filled with rowdy, drinking school children. (Thats kinda what riding in the states is like, all the time,) except the driver became so angry he pulled the bus over an threaten to leave the cussing, drinking children on the side of the road. #TrueStory and it was the longest bus ride I think I have ever been on, outside of the 3 day tour of the southwest I took once in the US. #DontGoGreyHound #ImadeAhorribleMistake Luckily, Rail Tickets are easy to buy even from the states. So i'm going back to trip planning now. Have a nice evening and see at the rain station! Hello, How are things? I was surprised with these lovely flowers & a balloon yesterday. 😻 People paraded through the office most of the day with fruit baskets & thoughtful gifts. That night more birthday craziness followed. I'm so lucky to be surround by such awesome, caring people & thank you for all the birthday wishes via email, google + & on Dayre. Everyone is so sweet. See you at the airport- Hey, How are things? The last few days have been rather "hazy" :o But I'm back at work now and combatting haze with Major Vit. C and lovely fresh fruits! I was telling a friend just a second ago this is the LEAST prepared for a trip I have ever been! But things all seem to be falling into place, so I guess there is nothing to worry about. If I forget to pack something I will just buy it there and I have so many wonderful people in Texas who have volunteered to help me with stuff there. So no worries- Its going to be an awesome adventure!
Less than 16 days to go. See you at the airport! Hi,
How is it going? A couple of weekends ago I attended yet another summer party and that night as we were all sitting around the bonfire talking and laughing (and drinking) out of the blue one of our newest friends from Northern Cali made a comment about how often southern women say, "Bless their heart." She seemed confused about the phrase, never hearing it used in quite the way Southern women do. My British friends agreed. Us southern girls just giggled and the guys just shook their heads. We then took turns spouting southern wisdom, such as: "My boss is dumb as dirt, bless his heart" "My college roommate is as filthy as a pig, bless her heart." "Why the UPS man is as busy as a one armed paper hanger, bless his heart." "That coach is not the sharpest tool in the shed, bless his heart." "You must be as hungry as a grasshopper in the winter, bless your heart." You get the idea. In the south a LADY can say just about anything mean about someone and then end with "Bless their heart," flutter their eye lashes and pretend they meant no harm. And usually it works.. Thats another reason I like True Blood so much, its so TRUE to the southern dialect. I'm pretty sure all the women in that show have said "Bless their hearts" at least once & in the right contexts, that and all the sexy men. I like that part a lot too. Talk soon & Bless your heart- Hi all! Hope your weekend has been FAB! I'm so much better! Thank you all for the kind words/emails! :D #IhateBeingILL I think besides the infinite appreciation of feeling "Ok" on most days, being ill teaches me; it also shows who your friends are. I can't say enough how great everyone has been. I appreciate them so MUCH! They have really helped me this week. Just look at all the goodies they have brought me this past week... I'm still not well, But feel so much better! Yeah! I have napped and eaten like a champion cat. MEOW I also have watched about 1,000 movies and all the TV series I was behind on. (Including all the movies I had stashed for the flights and cruise.) NOW am good & caught up on TV. I can go back to NOT watching for the next 10 years. Caught up on True Blood. Sad to see it end.. When not watching TV and sucking down fruits, I am dutifully NOT working. ^(&*%*%! and getting further behind on projects there. Although I did snag some good hotel deals on Hotwire this week. The thought of traveling at the end of the month is 1. Exciting! and 2. Frightening! I KNOW I will be better by then, but still it intimidating to think of starting such a long travel, ordeal feeling like shit. :X The perils of #wanderlust.... Ok, I feel a nap coming on.... Have a lovely evening and I will see you at airport! "I am not this hair, I am not this skin, I am the soul that lives within." — Rumi "Poems are rough notations for the music we are." Rumi "Love is the whole thing. We are only pieces." -Rumi "Try something different. Surrender."
Rumi "The garden of the world has no limits, except in your mind." Rumi "No more words. In the name of this place we drink in with our breathing, stay quiet like a flower. So the nightbirds will start singing." Rumi "Whoever's calm and sensible is insane!" Rumi For more Rumi Quotes click here and here. Have a beauty filled day, friends- Hey! How are things? I hope your having a better week than me. My latest Adventure: I know better than to push my body super hard, but there are time when I just HAVE to get stuff done. And usually what happens is my body "throws me down" quite literally. Last weekend I went to a party and as I was leaving (at a descent hour by the way) I saw a couple of my friends who were inside an outbuilding close by where I was parked. They waved me over and started showing me their vacation pictures. Cool/NOT cool. They both were CHAIN SMOKING... cough, cough, cough #FML I did my best to get away from all that nasty 2nd hand smoke and even flushed my sinuses when I returned home. However, it seems I was too late. I felt like shit Monday and by Tuesday I was on 2 meds! I know its partly because I have been pushing myself so much to get everything completed before I leave. But this MADE EVEN MORE STESS! I haven't been able to go to work (Grr) had to cancel all clients/meetings/presentations for this week and I was unable to work on my bookings or pack or do much of anything. I'm supposed to rest, up my fluids and go back to Doctor Monday. With my sinuses inflamed I can't even really stand to look down and my head is killing me! Not good, not good at all! I'm in pretty good shape, but I figure had I actually smoked myself I probably would be on oxygen today. #WTF?? How crazy is that?? Ok, I gotta take another pill and take a nap.
