Ready, Set, Jet!

Hiya!
I am sorting the pictures from last weeks hiking trip and took more video than I thought... *Warning some of it looks like I didn't know the camera was on! But regardless I took it as a sign that it was time to finally start a Youtube channel for this blog. I have two other channels for work that I'm hard pressed to update, so might as well add one more into the mix, right? lol Anyway, I promise a proper post of the hiking trip and info on this really cool, ancient sacred sight shortly. In the meantime, have a look at this video and let me know if you think I should try and post some of the old videos I have of Europe or just start fresh. I would like some feedback, if you have time. See you at the airport! Hey! I really was thinking about editing my subscription boxes. On the one hand I love them! Its like Christmas every time they arrive! New, fun goodies and surprises! But on the other, this is more stuff I may or may not use and sometimes I feel that for the price you don't get much more than samples, you know? It's such a dilemma! So how come I'm opening a new box then? Well, as I was having this very conversation with a buddy of mine, she recommended this box. "If you're going to cut down on boxes, I'd keep this one." Keep it? I never even tried it! She looked at me like I was living under a rock! Turns out this company is so much more than just a beautiful subscription box. I went over to their website and ordered after reading and seeing all the value you get for the money. Did I mention everything is FULL SIZE no samples here! Use my link to save and Get your box! (We both win!) Here's the details: They ship out seasonal. so 4 boxes a year. But you can get Editors Boxes (like I did) anytime - plus they also have sales and add ons and oh so much more! This is what was in the Editors Box: You also fill out info about yourself so that get products designed for you. Which seems like such a good idea, rather than making it a "one size fits all" box. Grab your box here and join the Fab Fit Family! The details: Boxes cost $49.99 (including shipping) Use the link to save on your box. They are very highly rated and loved by so many people! They do ship to Canada and Puerto Rico! But Shipping is an additional $8 for seasonal boxes and $10 for shop orders for all Canada, Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii orders. I'm going to try the regular seasonal box before I pass judgement. I liked most of the items but that mask valued at $36 is crazy! I actually wrote them to see if it was a mistake. No answer yet... but I will keep you updated. What do you think?
Have you tried this box before? Was it worth the $$? I'd love to hear about your experience! *This Post is continued here* Catch your later! And just in time the December Vegan Cuts Snack box has arrived! Who needs sugary, artificial crap when we can snack on organic, healthy treats like these! I am always surpised - there are so many healthy products I never knew existed! These healthy, authenic foods make you happy as you snack on them! Now that the day is over I'm going for a real run and then back home to watch the rest of Timless and snack - See you on the coach, lol
Hello there, Is it Halloween in your world yet? The fun is in full swing here. I so love this time of the year. The weather is nice and people are planning parties and having lots of fun. But Warning: I feel the travel bug about to take hold again. #Wanderlust is running through my veins again... I haven't been able to do much, lately due to all the rain. But in the meantime, I have finally finished my LARGE project at work, so I shall be posting more, traveling more and generally having adventures again! I hope your ready...cause I sure am! Spooky produce... Yes, direct from the field to the market..no need to carve or decorate! I have more Halloween Hijinks to post...so do come back. After a good nights sleep I'm gonna be ready to party again!
Catch you later~ I'm so going to miss the blooming flowers. But I'm not going to miss the cold and the thought of snow makes me glad I'm packing. I was in England for Dec and Jan of last year and it was enough to last me for a good bit. #NotAFanOfTheWinter It's all about priorities. You wanna travel more? Then stop buying all that unnecessary crap and just do it!
See you at the airport- Mine was productive (which means not FUN at all.) We made another attempt at clearing the downed tree in my back yard. This was a HUGE Pecan tree that just fell over one day. There wasn't any wind and it doesn't look dead. WTF? AND It took out my koi pond and the trampoline. But it could have taken out the upstairs of my house it was that BIG! So I'm lucky, I guess?? My gardner has been working on it for over a month. But between bad weather and the wood being so hard he has been replacing chains on the chain saw nonstop and its just been one thing after another. Now the winter grass is really growing & it all needs to be mowed too. UGG BIG MESS! He is having a hard time finding anyone to work with him or to help as well. (Most men are working in the oil field now.) I help some if I'm not working too, but our schedules rarely mesh and I don't like him attempt it alone. About 2 weeks ago I was at the office and called me to tell me he FELL WHILE CUTTING a limb and asked if he could quit for the rest of the week! OMG! Thank goodness he wasn't hurt! We did get MOST of it done and the yard is mowed and edged. I would like to start on the flowerbeds, but its still too early and we are both worn out. #HappySaturday I had a date but called him and cancelled, I was just too tired. #FML He said he understood, but I don't know. Oh well, he should just be lucky I didn't ask him to help with the damn tree. So anyway, I stayed home the rest of Saturday and managed/made myself pack some more. I made a dent in it anyway. Its coming to the part where I have to really start living out of a suitcase because everything is packed, WTF?! You know, the "what do you really need day-to-day?" Part and the "why do I have so much extra crap?" stage. I went through quit a few emotions, from sad to excited as I packed my crap up. I figured I could use the break after Saturday. From there we went to the state park to Hike/run the trails. But after about 5 minutes it started to rain and the temp began to drop. I can run in the rain or in the cold, but just not BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. Plus I wasn't dressed for it. I didn't think the front was due in till night time. The Temp continued to drop and I went home to build a fire. All motivation for work gone. So that actually was a great end to the weekend. #WIN
Except now I can't sleep. #Fail See you at the airport- Hey, How are things? I hope your weekend is going well. The weather here is nice. Not too warm or too cold and today we had fog. One of my friends is always asking me to run with him on the trails. I do sometimes, but he is actually much more hardcore than I am. #Truth Also he always raves about running early in the morning in the fog. :o This morning I skipped yoga & took him up on a "fog run". I should note than we both know this area/trail really well and also its not open to anything but foot traffic. It is still dangerous, but not like running in the fog down the street, WTF?! You understand? So if you decide to do this, be careful! He claims that running in the fog is a great way to jump start your workout. If you feel like you are in a rut or like you have hit a It's time to do something different and shake things up some. We had fun and I think I finished in record time, because it was sooooo creepy. #Truth It was actually really cool. We stayed together and had fun. But also we didn't linger and were careful.
I didn't actually freak out, but I did feel like something was moving in the brush along the trail a couple of times. I really think (hope) it was a skunk or a armadillo. I don't think I would want to do this everyday, but it was ok for a change. Now I'm off to a lunch date. :D Catch you later- Hey, How are things? It was a really, really good day. Both productive and happy. #WIN I woke up early to warmer south Texas weather. Meaning not too cold, put on a light jacket and only pretend its winter, lol. No snow, no ice, just blue - sunny skies. Yeahhhh.. So off I went for yoga. I always, ALWAYS feel better after. I don't always make time to go to class or practice like I should, but always feel great when I can fit it in. It's funny when life gets busy is when you need it most, but can't (or at least I can't) justify taking the time to fit in a session. #FML After that I was feeling all relaxed and zen. Had a quick shower & headed to office for another round of meetings. Where I was surprised with this lovely orchid, Its so PRETTY! I just love the colors. Finally finished up and was free to take a late lunch with an old friend. I think it was after 3:00 before I could get away...But was still calm from a.m. yoga. #Zen Audrey and I grabbed take out, returned to my office & proceeded to laugh and visit the rest of the afternoon.. We had the best time. :D Audrey's been talking about the last sandwich we ate there for months now, lolol So whenever she is in town we always try to eat there. They were open, but no one was home (?) You have to call a cell # and they will open up and make your food. So its kinda different..But the sandwiches are Super good! Look at all those Veggies! YUMMMS :) + Its so nice hanging out with old friends. We were talking about everything under the sun. After I took the photo of the sandwich the conversation shifted to blogging and writing in general. I think she might start blogging now, too. She mentioned someone sent her a blog link to a certain house/B & B (The Belle Oaks, remb I posted it here?) and we discussed. She had no idea I wrote it. Too funny! #SmallWorld Now I spam one more Orchid picture- Happy Chinese New Year! Hope you have a year of great health, wealth and luck.
May the horse be with you! |
