A Story

Hi,
Did you miss me this past week? 
I haven't posted many pictures or written much...So boys & girls I shall tell you a story of why..

"It all started a long, long time ago (last week.) I was happily lazing around Enchanted Rock & soaking up some much needed R & R in nature when out story begins. :) Enchanted rock is a fairy tale land of pretty pink rocks, cooler breezes and no needy, crazy people. They have working toilets and most cafes/shops have air con that works. It is lovely and people are friendly and helpful. I was very relaxed and stress free while there, but of course it was not meant to last."     :o

As we enjoyed delicate cheese cake in this cafe I started getting texts. :(

See another friend of mine was trying to reach me. My cell was going in & out of service due to the enchanted rocks and lack of towers.  But finally she called & got a clear connection. She didn't know I was gone; as I tell no one anything.. And you shall see why later-
Anyway she said (I typed SAID, not asked) she would like to come and spend a few days with me. Now, dear reader please remb everyone knows I am going back to France, but guess what? They don't know when, I will not tell them the date & I am purposely vague because they will do their BEST to stop me from going. Only one or two ppl know the date and all I hear from them is whining about "Do you really have to go?"  *Insert SAD face here.*   I have a real odd life, don't I?  And those 2 will come to France to visit me too, so WTF?!? Yes, this is my crazy day-to-day life...
But Back to the story. She had asked me some time before if she could come visit "sometime" and I said, "sure". But never picked a weekend or set a date. Till now..

Racing back a little early so I can clean up the house! :X

So ok, get home & immediately start throwing clothes around, attempt to clean, blah, blah you get it. She arrives & we have a nice visit. Eat supper and I put her on the couch. (Long story as to why not guest room...tell you that one another time.)

Really tired now..Been a long day, shopping, driving across Texas, climbing rocks, etc. Next day even more exhausted because of course, she & I stayed up really late visiting.  Both of us need to get up early & go to work. I make coffee & breakfast which I leave for her as I go to office, tired as hell. She explained to me the night before that she plans on going back to her office (3 towns away) & home after. So this was goodbye, basically. So long day progresses & I finally crawl/sleepwalk back home. Her car is still at my house   * __ * 

She was still on the couch when I came in. Ok, I wake her and she explains she over slept & she called into office and all is ok. So then she went back to sleep and slept the rest of the day. Um, ok .Cool I guess?... As I go to change clothes I notice there is water in the hall. Flowing WATER. :X

OMG!
A water piper has broken behind  the guest shower, flooding back of closet which backs up to it and water is now running down the hall. OMG! Call plumber and he is out of town? WTF?!? Call my brother to cut off water and help. He does, visits with my house guest as I race around looking for another plumber. (You know it is after hours now.) 


After much calling and cussing finally reach someone who will come in the morning.  So we have no water & I notice it's a little warm in the house.  :(

I made a lovely Quiche.

Turn down a/c and hear it blowing ok, turn on ceiling fans for living room & begin to cook supper for everyone. Then have another nice visit until I cannot see straight and head to bed. 


House guest decides to stay another night and leave 1st thing in morning....My brother goes home sometime..remb we have no water...#WTF

It's still VERY WARM in South TEXAS :(

Next morning I wake up very early (or late depending on how you look at it..) say around 4:00 am & I'm sweating....WTF?!?
YES, YOU GUESSED IT -

a/c is now broken....Flip breaker, pull out extra fans & remb cannot take a shower because we still have NO WATER. I did fill some bowl, jugs, etc. the day before and I do have bottled water, but its not the SAME. Attempt to fix breakfast, wait for plumber and call A/C repairman. Try to wake up house guest who has over slept again, as I wait for all the repairmen to descend upon the house in waves of crazy, expensive chaos. Then I made the mistake of answering the cell. My mother calls to tell me she is not feeling well and would like me to run her errands for her.   * _____  *        And worked called, they need me asap. :X

Oh and then... 


My computer broke. 

And so DID I! :X

BOOM

Actually it wasn't quite as bad as you would have thought. (Thank yoga & meditation) 
I kept my wits and didn't get outraged, but I did take control (as much as one can in the middle of a good old fashioned shit storm) and started lining people and things out. :O

*Sent email to work via phone & fixed their problem, 
*Sent Brother to take care of mom, 
*got plumbers going.
*Pulled out laptop to work from home while waiting on a/c repairman
and
*kindly asked my house guest to leave....

You know I really could not entertain her properly without water or air con. * __ *

I don't think she wanted to leave, even then. (But oh well)  She went to spend the weekend with another of our friends. (Good luck, have fun..See ya/bye)
And
Everything instantly went back to nomal, or close to it. WTH?!?! Everything was fixed quickly after she left and nothing else broke. I had time for a shower & a short NAP.  I even went out on a date Saturday night...

How crazy was that?  Later I called a friend who is big on horoscopes and such and asked her if we were having an alinement or something crazy? She confirmed that we were! OMG!  if it happens again I will just lock the door and stay home, alone. LOL
So did anyone else have this kind of week? It was bad....Really bad. 

That friend is texting me now, excuse me while I turn off the phone and lock the door!
