![]() Travel Related Questions This is a copulation of travel related questions I get. Some repeatedly. 1. Do you work in the travel industry? No 2. Are you a Travel Agent? No. I looked into it but don’t think I could make any real money doing it. (And it would limit my amount of time to travel, lol) 3. What are your least favorite airlines? Southwest & Ryan Air 4. Why? Southwest: If anything can go wrong it will & its feels like you are riding a greyhound bus & it smells. Ryan Air: The planes are OLD and smell like pee! (Staff has always been great on Ryan Air BTW) 5. Can you book me a flight/hotel/rent a car? No. But I can point you to some web sites though. 6. Favorite Beach destination? Not really a beach person. 7. Places you want to go but haven’t? Egypt to see the pyramids & cruise down the Nile. Haven’t gone because there is too much unrest in the country. There are a few other countries on that list too. Sigh maybe the wars will stop & people will just shut up & get along. 8. Next Vacation destination? Las Vegas, I guess. 9. Do you go on short getaways or only big trips? Well to be honest I don’t like to travel! (Bet you didn’t see that one coming!) BUT I like to ARRIVE so that’s why I try and stay as long as I can. But I do both… 10. Favorite City? Paris & London 11. Favorite US Cities? Austin, Texas, Seattle, Washington, San Francisco, California, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Colorado Springs, Colorado, NYC, Las Vegas, Nevada, Portland Oregon, & Boston. That’s just to name a few, lol! (That was in no particular order, ok?) 12. Favorite small town? Define small? I like small towns and villages a lot! 13.Least favorite place? Haiti (no offense) I don’t really care for the Caribbean so includes Jamaica too. 14. Favorite mode of travel? I like cruise ships and trains a lot. But I won’t say no to a private jet! 15. Most over-rated/touristy location you have ever been? Disney? It cost soo much and in the US you are a BAD parent unless you take your kids. The food is meh & expensive too. I just can’t make myself go back… 16. Most “pleasant surprise” location you have visited? Mm, that’s tough. Maybe Norway? It was great and I didn’t want to go. 17. I’m coming from EU for a visit to the States. What the best place to visit in USA? It depends on what you want to see & do? The Grand Canyon, Sedona, Washington DC, Smithsonian, NYC, Seattle, Florida, California, Texas (Had to include) lol It just depends. It’s like Europe in that you cannot plan to see everything in a month, much less a week. It’s better to take a month and pick 1 state and rent a car (Do not take the train or bus in the US you will not like it!) & explore based on your interests. 18. How many languages do you speak? ?? heeh hee some people would say NONE! :X 19. Does it cost a lot to travel? It can. Figure out how much you can spend and then add another 20%. Save that amount + and start looking at vacations. If it’s your 1st trip over seas I recommend you take a tour and have them book everything for you. (Especially if you don’t speak the language.) It costs more but you also have the company as a resource if anything goes wrong. 20. What’s the one place YOU MUST return to? Paris, of course. I also copied this on to the "About Me" Page. Later- Comments are closed.
